Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day!
Today is the 38th annual celebration of the planet we call home, and a day to step back and think about things we can do to preserve and restore our natural resources…
So that’s the official line on Earth Day, but I want to know: what do YOU think about Earth Day?
Is it a time to reflect on accomplishments?
A time to call for more action?
Or something in-between?
Send a post, let us know, then go outside and do something good for the planet.

Get your bike on!
Tomorrow is Bike to Work Day. For those of you in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas, there are events in both cities for folks who take the healthier route to work. See here and here for details.
Even if you’re car-bound by your commute length or job requirements, I’ve heard there will be lots of info available at both cities’ events, which could give you ideas for getting more quality time with your bike during the work week.
Unfortunately, I can’t make it to tomorrow’s urban events without a) driving, which would defeat the purpose, or b) canceling some interviews, which wouldn’t be the best thing for my job. To make up for it, I’m doing one better. Rather than one ride into work, I’m parking the car at the office and going bike-only all weekend. I’ve got a fair number of assignments to cover, so I’ll be on the road a bit, playing in traffic and recording it all here. I’m doing this regardless of weather, so I may be trying some clothing strategy tips I found online.
If you’re able to do it, why not make the weekend an adventure and leave your car parked until Monday? If you try it, let me know how it works for you.

I bike to work several times a week. I live in Middletown and work in Liberty Township. The traverse for me is 8.7 miles of sheer joy. It’s fun getting a bit of exercise, saving money and knowing your doing something better for the environment.By Lee Wong
