Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day!
Today is the 38th annual celebration of the planet we call home, and a day to step back and think about things we can do to preserve and restore our natural resources…
So that’s the official line on Earth Day, but I want to know: what do YOU think about Earth Day?
Is it a time to reflect on accomplishments?
A time to call for more action?
Or something in-between?
Send a post, let us know, then go outside and do something good for the planet.

Trade four wheels for two
The forecast for this week looks rather springy, so I’m ho[ping to finally swap the car for the bike for my commute.
If you’ve thought about commuting by bike instead of car, take it from me - it’s more fun, and a lot less hassle than you might think.
For starters, there is one inviolate rule of bike commuting, whether you ride two miles on a mountain bike or 20 kilometers on a Tour-ready road racer:
No, it won’t mess up your hair. And if you’re worried about how you look, suck it up. You can’t predict when you’ll need it, and you definitely do not want to get caught without one if you have an accident.
There are a number of tricks that can make bike commuting more efficient, a better workout, and just plain fun. I’ll share some over the next week, but here’s a good spot to start learning about dropping two wheels and a motor off your morning commute.
