Project Excellence teachers named

The Area Progress Council of Warren County has named this year’s recipients of the Project Excellence awards, recognizing area teachers for their contributions to students. Project Excellence recognizes two teachers from each of Warren County’s school districts, one “Excellent” teacher and one “Innovative” teacher. One teacher is also selected from the Career Center and another from the Educational Service Center. The winners will be honored at a banquet Monday, May 4, at the Kings Island Inn and Conference Center. This year’s winner are: Carlisle Excellent: Carla Brown, first and second grade, Alden Brown Elementary. Innovative: Cindy Donathan, third grade, Grigsby Elementary. Franklin Excellent: Kristen Dursch, fifth and sixth grade math, Anthony Wayne. Innovative: James McFarland, history, Franklin High School. Kings Excellent: Kathy Crowe, transitional first grade, South Lebanon Elementary. Innovative: Joe Polen, music and band, Kings Junior High. Lebanon Excellent: Scott Nash, math, Lebanon High School. Innovative: Amy Wnek, language arts, Lebanon Junior High. Little Miami Excellent: Maryann Duffy, fourth grade, Morrow Elementary. Innovative: Travis Showers, fourth grade, Maineville Elementary. Mason Excellent: Aimee Hansen, chemistry, Mason High School. Innovative: David Bell, special education, Western Row Elementary. Springboro Excellent: Jeff Runge, music, Springboro High School. Innovative: Jeremy Prater, third grade, Five Points West Elementary. Wayne Excellent: Amanda Johnson, second grade, Waynesville Elementary. Innovative: Jason Hamen, English, Waynesville High School. Career Center Innovative: Yvonne Kaszubowski, career development. Educational Service Center Excellent: Aaron Clark, Language arts and science, Warren County Learning Center.
