Some Little Miami schools to close for 09-10
At its meeting Tuesday, March 24, the Little Miami school board approved a reconfiguration plan of its school buildings in hopes to save the district money. Butlerville and Morrow Elementary schools will close, as will the kindergarten annex. Students in grades 1-3 will be divided between Maineville Elementary and Salem Twp. Elementary, which will also house preschoolers and kindergarteners. The new Intermediate School will have fourth and fifth graders, while sixth and seventh graders will attend the new junior high. Eighth graders will join students in grades 9-12 at the high school. Closing the three buildings, along with reducing elective courses, is part of a $1.2 million savings for the district, which faces even more budget cuts if their 9.95-mill levy is not passed in May.

We will only lose our buildings IF the levy fails.
