Lebanon HS singers win several awards
The Lebanon High School Show Choir - the Lebanon Singers - won several awards last month, and the 60-member ensemble will perform here March 21. The Lebanon Show Choir Classic, sponsored by the Lebanon Choral Parents Organization, will feature 17 show choirs from Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia performing at the Lebanon Junior High School Auditorium. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. In February, the Lebanon Singers were in Charleston, West Virginia, and their rendition of “Saved” was awarded the Judges Choice Award as best song in the competition. Later that month, they sang at the Loveland Show Choir Invitational, where they got first place in their class for Best Choreography, Best Vocals, and Best Male Vocalist (Max Mattingly). Marlee Poitinger also received a Best Performer award. The group ended the competition in second runner up position. The Singers were the Reserve Grand Champions at the Grove City Invitational Show Choir Competition. They finished second in their class with Best Choreography, Best Vocals, Best Stage Band and a Best Vocal Award for Neil Bishop. The Lebanon Singers are directed by Joseph W. Beal with choreography by Mitchell Finke.
