The Lebanon school board is looking into offering teachers and administrators early retirement. Those who have been with the district for 12 years would also be eligible for the $55,000 buyout.
The district says they can save an average of $100,000 annually for eight years if enough people opt for the plan.
What are your thoughts about how this could affect the district? Will it help save money? Will they be able to replace the experienced teachers they stand to lose?
