Mason teacher honored by Autism Society

I want to personally congratulate and thank Mason High School support education teacher Hakim Oliver on being named the Autism Society’s Support Person of the Year. Oliver was nominated by Sue Miller, whose son Greg, has benefited from the time Oliver has spent working with him as the school’s mascot. I had the chance to meet Greg several months ago, and he is an extraordinary person. He is finishing his junior year at Mason and is already making plans to go to college when he graduates. I wish Greg - and Mr. Oliver - the best.
