Waynesville Idol

Eight different acts-ranging from solos, to dance, to rap, and even a band—will take the stage Friday, May 23, to prove they are the best Waynesville High School talent. Hosted by Mr. Stubbs, each act will face a panel of judges (Mrs. Lueth, Mrs. Tieman, and Mr. Gabbard) who will give their comments and scores to determine the winner of the $100 first prize. Second place will receive $50 and the third place competitor earns $25. Waynesville Idol is presented by Thespian Troupe #4558, the WHS theatre honorary. Ticket sales for the competition support the troupe’s annual scholarship and awards, sponsorships to Thespian conferences, and other special events and workshops. Waynesville Idol tickets are only available to WHS students, but you can find out who wins at the WHS Drama website.
