Public salaries: Superintendents paid well, but enough?

In the eyes of taxpayers, school district superintendents might make a lot of money. You can search our database of public salaries to compare their salaries with those of public employees around the county. But how do they compare to CEOs and other top administrators in the private sector? According to salary.com, they don’t. A “top administrative executive” in the Lebanon area would earn close to half a million dollars in total compensation. For more comparison, read my article in today’s paper.
