What do you want to read about?

Hello readers, You found my blog! Here you will be able to read about the latest happenings in the Lebanon and Little Miami school districts. You can find everything from updates on construction projects to board meeting news to honor rolls. In addition, I want to know what you want to be reading about in your newspaper. What school clubs are out there that I should be covering? Do you know, or are you, a student who goes above and beyond their “call of duty”? Or a student who balances their school work with long hours at a job to pay for college? Has anything interesting ever happened to you?

Hello Ryan, I would love it if more of Lebanon High School’s JROTC program events were covered. They have had so many interesting things going on but there is no word about them. For instance the Annual Military Ball held at Wright-Patterson AFB and the awards ceremony was never covered at the high school. Glad to see the blog in operation. I look forward to checking back for news and events about the schools.

What we would most like to see is real journalism, especially for levies. If the levy is coming up report the facts honestly. Find out the background. Compare the percentages of employees who are not teachers to other comparable school districts. And do not become the regurgitator of news fed to you by the school’s PR department. If there are discipline problems in the schools report them.
