Some new pizza I really like
Ahoy, Brother Ron here… Recently, I’ve had the chance to dip into a nice little pizzeria south of Dayton in West Chester Twp. that I really like — it’s called Raymond’s, and it’s quite good.
They offer a nice, tasty array of pasta (try the spaghetti with meat sauce for a good lunch), an excellently zingy Italian sub — and their pizza combines two things you don’t normally see around here: a thicker (not TOO thick) crust and square-cut pieces.
It works, all in all. The one I visited was in the shopping center at 129 and 75, at Yankee and Cin-Day roads, right next to the big Kroger there. Stop by if you’re on the way back from IKEA, which is just a couple of exits south.
Yummy stuff. Have you been to Raymond’s?

You have probably been asked this before however I have not seen it.Do we have any places around like the Diners,Drive Ins,and Dives show?There must be some place around but living in the northern parts of the valley have not heard of them.Thanks for the info.

You should try Christy’s in Vandalia. Pizza rocks and never disppointed with sandwiches , try the cheesesteak!

Can’t get to West Chester much but homemade pizza beats all of the restaurant stuff hands down.

“…ya gotta go to nyc to get a real pie…”. Funny, nyc, I thought Naples, Italy would be the place to go to get real pizza. Or is there a difference, other than semantics, between “pie” and “pizza”.

That nyc is a very large tool. He mistakenly believes that since he purports to be from NYC, he has the final and only correct say on pizza and all food Italian. HE IS WRONG and I wish he’d just GO AWAY. I’m Italian, my family is from NYC and I’ve been there MANY TIMES. That being said, there are numerous places in the area that does a wonderful job on pizza and pasta/Italian food. Please keep your stupid comments to yourself, okay pal(nyc)?

How about reporting on where you can go and get healthy, and tasteful food. Everyone knows where to get pizza and wings.

Alright, nyc, we get it, NYC pizza is the best but since I don’t want to spend $1000 every time I want a pizza, I appreciate Brother Ron’s information on good pizza in the area. I enjoy Classic Pizza in Huber Heights, but I will try Raymond’s when in the area because I have an open mind, especially when it comes to trying new things.

Hey Bobcat- Try Adriatico’s thick crust if your looking for a Goodfella’s substitute. The Bearcat is massive, but meant for sharing.

Raymond’s is really really good!! Fun for the whole family too—- Flat screens to watch sports (and drink a beer) and a selection of toys for the kids to play with!

Haven’t tried Raymond’s. Been looking for a Sicilian-style, brick oven pizzeria like Goodfella’s in Athens. Delectable. Any like that around here? Already found a DP Dough substitute in Dewey’s calzones, now if only I could find a Goodfella’s facsimile. I’ve given up hope for a proxy Burrito Buggy.
