H1N1 vaccines
I am a germaphobe, so this issue with Swine Flu is making me crazy! We all are awaiting the vaccine, some of us more than others, and I know there is a lot of confusion surrounding the issue. Some of our reporters are working on an updated story for you, but here is one that talks about inoculation sites being held at area schools.
Just as a reminder, there is no mandatory vaccination rule, so don’t panic if you don’t want to get the vaccine or you don’t want your child to get it. Also, there is some confusion out there about release dates. Here is a CNN story about the two types of vaccines (injection and nasal mist) and when they might be released.
Pregnant and people with compromised immune systems won’t be able to get the live virus through the nasal mist. However, it should be mid-October when the vaccine comes out in an injection form.
What kinds of questions do you have about the process? Any concerns?
