Chinglish anyone?

I had to smile at this: American students at D. Russel Lee are going to make their version of a Chinese meal Monday for visitors from Nanning, China. They are calling the menu “Chinglish” because that is the term the Chinese students use when they are speaking in mixed Chinese and English or when they know they don’t have an English phrase just right.

The students arrive in West Chester Twp. late Sunday/early Monday morning. I will be attending the lunch at noon and will update you on students’ reactions. From there, they are going to Jungle Jims and then having dinner at the Niederman Family Farm.

Will your students be participating in the visit? Are you hosting a student? Let us know!
