Bellbrook grad Austin Spitler activated for Miami Dolphins game

Austin Spitler has become the first first Bellbrook High School graduate to dress for an NFL game.

The 2005 Golden Eagles grad was activated by the Miami Dolphins for the Monday Night Football game vs. visiting New England.

A linebacker and captain at Ohio State University, Spitler was a seventh-round draft choice of the Dolphins in last April’s NFL draft. He was released on Sept. 4, then resigned to Miami’s practice squad.

The Dolphins released guard Ray Feinga to make room for Spitler.
