Sunday tripleheader the first of 22 games at Dragons’ Fifth Third Field
First up is Ft. Loramie vs. Greenon at 1 p.m.
On deck is Lehman Catholic vs. Jackson Center at 4 p.m.
In the hole is National Trail vs. Dixie at 7 p.m.
That’s Sunday’s, April 11 lineup at Fifth Third Field, the first of 44 high school baseball games at the home of the Dayton Dragons through Friday, May 14. The U.S. Army is the title sponsor.
This is the fifth consecutive season that the Dragons have allowed prep baseball at their stadium during the spring season. Twenty-two games featuring 44 teams are on tap while the Dragons are on the road.
There is no cost for the games and concession stands will be open. The parent club announced that last year’s high school games drew 8,400 spectators.
The 22 games will showcase 44 teams throughout April and May while the Dragons are away at other Midwest League cities. Admission is free, and concession stands will be open.
Teams that play at Fifth Third Field sell Dragons tickets. At least some of the proceeds go toward each school’s baseball program.
