Hamilton school enrollment up
The Hamilton City School District has reported an increase in enrollment for the 2011-12 school year.
The first week in October is the week when Ohio’s 612 districts report enrollment to the state of Ohio for funding purposes, said Superintendent Janet Baker.
“Our official enrollment for this school year is 9,436, which is up 135 students from last year,” Baker said. “The increase is at the elementary level with the secondary level remaining stable.”
