Local Christmas Walks
Mark your calendars for two stellar holiday events in early December.
The 19th annual German Village Historic District Christmas Walk is from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5. Residents can tour the St. Julie Billiart Church, visit historic buildings and houses, and enjoy free snacks. Crafts and gifts will be available for purchase. Entertainment will include strolling carolers, local musicians, a marionette show, visit with Santa, and live reindeer.
The 14th annual Lindenwald Christmas Walk will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 along Pleasant Avenue, in the Lindenwald Business District, between Forest and Woodlawn avenues. Residents can enjoy a visit with Santa, bowling, hula dancing, donkey rides, live music, face painting and gift bags for children. Free snacks include hot chocolate and cider, cookies and popcorn. New this year is a pet parade and costume contest at 1 p.m. hosted by the Lindenwald Civic Association.
