Pot bust under way in West Chester Twp.

From Local12.com

WEST CHESTER TWP. — The Drug Enforcement Agency is in the midst of a major pot bust this morning, May 28, serving warrants in six locations including Hyde Park and West Chester Twp.

Officials arrested five people already at locations in Hyde Park and in West Chester Twp. Detectives say there are six locations around the Tri-State in the operation, and at least one suspect was charged with staying at each location to tend the plants. Officials have found more than 700 plants total so far.

Officials said this is not a gang-related drug operation, and detectives said the marijuana is high-quality for selling at approximately $5,000 per pound.

Average pot sells for $1,500 a pound, officials said.
