Community Garden job open
Five Rivers MetroParks’ community gardening program, Grow With Your Neighbors, currently has a part-time year-round Program Assistant job position open. MetroParks will accept online applications through Wednesday January 27, 2010. If you do not have access to a computer to enter an application online, a computer kiosk located at Five Rivers MetroParks, 1375 E. Siebenthaler Ave, Dayton, OH 45414 can be used.
The Program Assistant will work closely with the Manager of Five Rivers MetroParks’ Grow With Your Neighbors (GWYN) program to: research, develop, promote and present a variety of programs and activities designed to educate and inform (primarily) new and existing community garden groups; present programming; assist with chores and tasks necessary to support the GWYN program at various community garden sites, which may include operation of farm and garden equipment, some basic building and grounds maintenance; provide assistance to new and existing community garden groups; and develop yearly work plans for each community garden.
