Package of 30 pounds of weed leads to Trotwood bust
The mail delivery around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, July 20, of a large brown cardboard box was followed by the RANGE Task Force, ready to make a narcotics bust.
Having intercepted the package containing 30 pounds of marijuana, task force members waited in vehicles until the package was delivered to the small, neat house in the 4700 block of Marlin Avenue in Trotwood. Then they entered.
Two men — DeShawn Belcher, 27, and Daniel Marshall, 28 — were taken out of the house in handcuffs, asked to take off their shirts, and their body tattoos photographed by members of the Regional Agencies Narcotics & Gun Enforcement Task Force before the trip to the county jail.
Residents of the quiet neighborhood of small houses said they hadn’t seen any unusual traffic in or around the home.
Both men are being held in the county jail.
