The Same Old Mess … sort of
I was driving down Ohio 4 in Hamilton this morning, when … you guessed it! Traffic was stalled just under the overpass by the old Roosevelt school. Today’s delay was a bit different though.
Instead of just in spots here and there, traffic is down to one lane for miles! It just never ends, and there are no signs of any work, just orange barrels!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving last week. I went to Columbus, and really had no major traffic problems, although I-70 in Madison County near London, Ohio is still down to one lane because of construction. Fortunately, by noon on Thursday the traffic wasn’t too heavy. We did encounter some light snow, which made it festive, but not difficult driving.
I also found another interesting road tidbit on Sunday night. I’ve mentioned to you how nice I thought the new St. Clair Ave. extension in Fairfield was. Well, I rode it to the end, because the road is so nice. Where does it go? It ends in the driveway of the sewage treatment plant in Hamilton!
I couldn’t believe it. Major construction, months of traffic tie ups and a road that goes to a sewage plant?
I guess that’s why I’m not in politics. I just don’t get spending that much money so sewage trucks can have easier access!
