Happy Holidays!

That’s right. I’m getting in the mood since I started my Christmas shopping on Saturday. I must not have been the only one either, since the malls were packed and the highways crowded.

In fact, it seems the roads are getting more and more crowded as we get closer to Thanksgiving. Have you noticed that? There’s something kind of kooky about heavy traffic at 11 a.m. on Monday morning, as I also saw today.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, will you be driving somewhere this year? I always go to Columbus to celebrate with family I hope the construction on I-70 between Columbus and Springfield is better than when I was up there a week ago.

Traffic was down to one lane for miles between the Clark/Madison County line and the Columbus city limits. If you’re planning to head that way for the holiday I would call ahead and find out if you need to detour using I-71. (I know I sure plan to).

No big highway problems to report locally today. (other than unusually heavy traffic) The only slow down I encountered was on the High Street bridge in Hamilton. I get slowed there every weekday morning in the construction. Other than that it has been smooth sailing.

Finally, there is one thing you can do, if like me, you’re getting in the mood for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Tune into 94.1 on your radio dial where they went all Christmas music on Nov. 7.

Yes I know that is a tad early, but with the forecast calling for flurries tomorrow night, you too, might be ready to sing

Let It Snow!

blog no, it’s called a clog when I-75 between Florence KY and Liberty Twp. gets backed up. I have been commting this route for eight years. I often though about starting a delivery service between the two areas to offset my fuel costs. Maybe the local news station could hire me to provide realtime traffic. Heck, with a rolving microphone I could roll down my window and get the realtime opinion column from my fellow drivers. As much as I may complain though, at least my drive is pretty much on the gas, i mean brake,i mean gas. My wife just started woking over off of Fields Ertle and I-71. What a nightmare. I’ll keep the Nextel Cup I-75.
