Stay Out of New Miami!

If you use New Miami like I do, to shortcut from West Hamilton to Trenton, then you’ll need to listen up.

The usual construction mess at Seven Mile Ave. & Ohio 127 will still stop you, but today, you will also face major slow downs by using the Augsberger Ave. shortcut.

Augsberger at Ohio 127 is the only way to get through the area without winding through the village, and today you will be stopped because they are repaving the road at that intersection. If that isn’t enough to agitate you, you can’t turn left on Highland Ave. to avoid the mess, because they are repaving that as well. Police are everywhere, and I would just avoid it all together. Your best bet is to take Third Street out of Hamilton, into town, and go from there.

The good news of the day is the continual DROP (can you believe it?) in gas prices. I saw it as low as $2.12 for a gallon of unleaded regular this morning in Hamilton, which is down even from last week.

Now that it is going to cost $1,000.00 a month to heat my home this winter (and really not that much of an exxageration), maybe I can move into my car!
