The Green Mile

Like Dorothy on the road to Oz, I followed a colored path yesterday on my commute home. While Dorothy’s path was yellow brick, mine was teal-colored paint.

I first spotted the paint streaks on Blue Rock Road as I entered the ramp to I-275 east. The trail, consistent in its thickness, led me several miles on I-275 to the Colerain Avenue exit and north on U.S. 27. From U.S. 27 the teal trail turned onto Struble Road and led right into Rumpke Dump.

So did some dump truck knowingly or unknowingly leak this green stuff—presumably paint? How long was the actual leak? Who is responsible for cleanup of the roadways?

It will take a Wizard of Oz, or a Wizard of Rumpke, to clean up this green mile.
