Nightmare in Horse Country!
I was driving between Cincinnati and Lexington a couple of days ago, and may I just say — NIGHTMARE!
I-75 between Dry Ridge and Williamstown is under complete reconstruction and you MUST NOT use it if at all possible.
I went 6 mph, with traffic doing no more than 5 mph in the southbound lane that was open. They are re-doing the lanes to the interstate there, and there is blasting going on, bulldozers in the roadway, and tons and tons of traffic with no where to go!
If you’re familiar with that area, there are also no exits to get off except one, which is in the middle of nowhere.
ATTENTION STATE OF KENTUCKY!
You need to post news reports within a 250-mile radius of that stretch of highway (that’s why I’m writing this) to take Old 25 from Cincinnati to Lexington, because this isn’t going to be completed anytime soon.
I can honestly say this is the worst traffic mess I’ve been in, in years, so please take my advice and don’t use this stretch of interstate unless you absolutely have to. If you do, allow at least an extra hour to an hour and a half for your journey.
