The “fall”ing of the orange barrels

Now that October is here, the weather has turned beautiful, and the orange barrels are “fall”ing. (get it?)

Another terrible mess is now no more, as the Fairfield interchange of River Road and St. Clair Ave. is now open.

The lanes are clear in all four directions, and they have even begun the process of extending St. Clair towards the Great Miami River. This is one of the nicest reconstruction projects I’ve seen, as they have realigned the curbs making the road wider, and easier to travel!

The new end of St. Clair is not yet open but if you have been avoiding using River Road into Fairfield (per my previous advice) it is now all systems go, and once again time will be saved.

I did notice a slight glitch in the re-opening of Cincinnati-Dayton Road at Ohio 122 in Middletown. I was traveling south on Cincinnati-Dayton last night, and with the four southbound lanes, including two that turned onto 122, a guy was confused by the massive number of traffic lights. He actually went across Cincinnati-Dayton, on a red light, thinking it was green (the turn lanes had changed to green). A multi-car wreck was narrowly avoided. If you are driving in that area be careful as the lights are confusing!

Other than that, lets hope this Monday stays beautiful and headache free. Enjoy the leaves (I hate them in MY yard!) and stay safe!
