Enough carpooling; I’m back to commuting
My first morning coming in at 7 started with how I remembered it when I used to come in early: trouble falling to sleep. I ended up getting 3 hours of sleep last night. I had to move to the sofa. Maybe it was the fresh air of Hueston Woods that I missed. Maybe it was the lack of snoring from my fellow campers. Or maybe it was the pounding noise from something outside my house that kept me from sleeping. I don’t know.
I do know that my wonderful commute is back. I left my house at 6:06 this morning and arrived here comfortably at 6:50. I may even back up my leaving time to 6:15 and see how it goes. As long as the roads are dry, I should notice a markedly short drive time.
I paid around $2.50/gallon for gas at a station at the corner of Liberty-Fairfield and Ohio 4 last night. Two stations at that intersection had that price. Every other station that I saw this morning was at leat $2.63 and in Kentucky, $2.73.
If prices are supposed to be that similar, why that much of a variance unless there is some gouging going on? That, or those two stations must never have anything stolen from them.
