Did Pixar earn its racing stripes with Cars?

It’s time again to play Monday-morning quarterback, or, if you will, Monday-morning critic. What did you guys think of Cars? Did you agree with me that it was great, even if it was one of Pixar’s “lesser” efforts? Was it even better than I described? Or were you disappointed? How did it rate against other Pixar movies?
