Time to relive ‘The Drive’
16 PLAYS, 71 YARDS, 5:00 ELAPSED;
2 FOURTH-DOWN CONVERSIONS;
ADD IT UP AND BENGALS WIN
It takes a village to sack Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
One man simply can’t do it. Big Ben is too big, too strong, too mobile and too tough for one dude to bring down.
The Cincinnati Bengals sacked him once in their 23-20 victory over the Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 27.
And the timing was perfect for Cincinnati because it was the beginning of the end for Big Ben’s dominance at Paul Brown Stadium.
The Steelers led 20-15 when they faced a third-and-six situation at their 42-yard line with 5:54 to go.
Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom was the first to reach Big Ben, grabbing hold of his jersey after bulling through the Steelers line. Tackle Pat Sims and end Robert Geathers were the next to arrive.
Officially, the sack was split between Sims and Geathers, but Odom deserves most of the credit for the 5-yard loss.
At any rate, Daniel Sepulveda punts 51 yards to the12 and Quan Cosby’s 17-yard return allowed the Bengals to set up shop at the 29.

Hang in there Bubba. Counting to three had to have been a struggle for you, but if you keep watching Sesame Street and use your fingers maybe someday you’ll make it to four.By J.P.

All three games the Bengals seem to do little things to hurt themselves, but manage to survive (except Denver). It must be the youth of the team overall. If they can settle down and focus, this can be a great season. Go Bengals.By steeler-sore-loser

Bubba is just the voice for all of the Stealer fans who are still crying after their team completely choked in the clutch. But get used to that feeling, Bubba. The Bengals have proven that pass-first teams have a harder time winning. Until the Stealers fix their running game, they WILL lose more of the close games than they win.By VoHo

Well it’s almost Monday afternoon and time for the Bengals to stop celebrating the win and start focusing on the task ahead. I think this could be a dangerous “trap” game against the slowing dying weasel once known as the Cleveland Browns. The Clowns are likely to be a nasty little rabid animal fighting for its very life while the Bengals head north as a young team coming off a HUGH victory against a division rival. Hey Marvin – it could be a formula for disaster! Marvin has shown a habit of improperly preparing this team for important games and this one coming up is very important (3-1 versus 2-2). The team cannot play a 1st quarter like it did yesterday in the Mistake-by-the-Lake or they’ll be on a steep, slippery slope. Please coach; don’t put your team in a position where the Brownstains might get a whiff of upset potential. Put your foot on the head of that tapeworm early and pin the Browns to the ground.By Obvious Joe

Hey Chicky Nice creativity on the subject line. “The Drive” will always remain exclusive to John “Mr Ed” Elway. You were probably the guy leading the charge on “LT” cause nobody can pronounce his last name properly. Way to diminish past feats by some of the games bests, you have played you part congratsBy nyc
