Chick, I don’t want to hate, but if you want to work for nfl films you may want to actually cover an nfl team. Your offseason Bengals coverage is infrequent and weak. Its funny that all of these newspaper companies wonder why they can’t stay in business. It may have something to do with guys like C Trent and John Thorton, who are unemployed providing better coverage. When I think about Chick, the one thing that sticks out in my mind is the guy that asks the tough questions in press conferences.

Matt: I don’t want to hate, either, but even the dean of Bengals beat writers is entitled to a little down time in the offseason. I apologize for goin’ fishing and not telling my loyal Ludwig At Large readers. Thanks to the immortal “PHOTOMAN,” who sent me enough “Peete’s Coffee” to last me until September, I’m back—-belligerent as ever.
