Georgetown, Ky. — Love at first sight
THE BENGALS’ SUMMER HOME
AT GEORGETOWN COLLEGE IS
TAJ MAHAL OF TRAINING CAMPS
===LUDWIG AT LARGE promised Georgetown College director of athletics Eric Ward that I wasn’t stalking him. When I dialed him up this week, he was on his way to Paul Brown Stadium — along with Stacey Varney, executive director of Georgetown College’s Thomas and King Leadership & Conference Center — to discuss Training Camp 2009 with Bengals officials. Talks on a one-year extension (through 2010) between the Bengals and Georgetown won’t take place until after the April 25-26 NFL Draft.===
Is this heaven?
No, ladies and gentlemen, and boys and girls.
It’s Georgetown, Kentucky, home of the NAIA Georgetown College Tigers and the summer home of the Cincinnati Bengals.
I stepped foot on campus in 1997 and it was absolute love at first sight.
With the college, the campus, the facilities … most of all, with the people.
If there’s a better place to hold training camp for a professional football team, I’d sure like to know about it.
Right now, a finer place doesn’t exit.
From the players & coaches dormitories next to the stadium, to the Thomas and King Leadership & Conference Center — with its meeting rooms and cafeteria — Georgetown College is first class all the way.

And, believe me, no NFL squad gives its fans more or better access to the players during training camp than the Cincinnati Bengals.
You can criticize owner Mike Brown and head coach Marvin Lewis all you want, but they make sure fans get to rub elbows with the players with up-close and personal interaction that’s unprecedented in the NFL.
Please take a moment and vote in this poll.
