Final score: Colts 35, Bengals 3

Ludwig At Large predicted 44-6. Hey, I was close.

Peyton Manning threw 3 TD passes and cornerback Kelvin Hayden scored on an 85-yard interception return as the Colts scored in every quarter to push their record to 9-4.

The Bengals dropped to 1-11-1.

Chad Ocho Cinco had his finest game of the season — 5 catches for 79 yards, while T.J. Houshmandzadeh had 8 catches for 75 yards.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick’s final numbers: 18 of 26 passing for 170 yards, 2 interceptions — both by Hayden — and he was sacked four times for minus-23 yards.

Jordan Palmer replaced Fitzpatrick with 4:56 to go and threw an interception on the game’s final play.

All too common results for the Bengals this year. Their next W should be Browns week and will keep this Cincinnati team from having the worst season in franchise history. Chickster, I’m glad you had something to look forward to in your trip to Indy. (Your stadium seat and Steak and Shake).

the more the Bengals get killed on the field the more Mike Brown will be hurt in season ticket sales for next year. I pray the REDS do so well in 2009 those fans that threw their money away on the bengals, will hold on their money and buy Reds tickets and/or root for the Colts.. as that is only a 1 1/2 hour drive away to a real winning organization. I live 10 minutes from PBS, i would rather drive the 100 miles to watch a winner!!!

Hey, the Bengals achieved a rarefied record of 1-11-1. I wonder if this has ever happened before? It’s not only a palindrome. You can slice it down the middle, stick the ends together, and come out with the same thing. It’s easy to type out, anyway. Someone should present Mike Brown with a plaque.

My prediction was closer chick: went w/ 38-6, but should’ve known that the ‘gals couldn’t get that many pts. versus the “tough” Colt’s defense. Sad, sad, sad. The Lions would beat the bengals by 3 tds. Mike Brown forever!

Well, I just watched a real team “fight” for a victory in defeating the Dallas Cowboys. You know you have to hand it to them, they are a first class/place team once again this year. Mikey, I am done with your group of losers. I sense a “theme” here. Fans watching the “real” team in the AFC North. Go Steelers!

Last week after that ridiculous Q&A, I boxed up all my Bungals crap and mailed it back to Mike Brown. After 20+ years, I’m done. Go Broncos!

Don’t support this worthless franchise. Take any money you have and sponsor an Angel Tree Child or other worthy cause. Mike Brown is stealing your time, money and heart. He is Satan. Why oh Why do so many of you keep feeding the beast? Take your hard earned wages and spirit somewhere else. Mike Brown will NEVER appreciate your loyalty.

Rather than watch the White Shadow go for a career-high 24, you have to watch this crap in Indy. Life just ain’t fair to the Chickster.

Chick: Just wanted to say “thanks” for the response to a comment and question in a previous blog. No doubt you are the James Brown of sports coverage.

We’ll wait to hear about CP and his famous arm. Makes no sense for him to play again this season. The QB sacks just keep on coming.

If change is actually possible with the Bengals, the only way the folks are going to enforce change is to hurt Brown in the wallet. No more buying of season tickets, no more walk up tickets, no more Bengal jersey, coffee cup,key fob, ball hat or other Bengal item purchases.Stop going to the games. No fans mean no concession sales also resulting in vendors leaving meaning Brown will lose his portion of the vendor sales too. He’ll have to make a decision to change the operation, leave for another town, or the NFL will shut down his meal ticket altogether.Otherwise, you Bengal fans are doomed wihout forcing some kind of action from Bengal ownership. You’ve got to dry up the money well on them to force the issue.

Chick, Yeah they lost but do you realize how easily they could have won this game. Fumbles and sacks on offense and lack of pressure and coverage by the DBs have been the story all season. How many times did the defense force Indy to a 3rd down play only to have Manning easily complete a pass. It really made it all too easy for Indy. I’m wondering if CB Hall is destined to stay with the Bengals. The problem may be with the owner but there are also problems with the coaching on this team. Further I don’t know how this team cannot clean house after the season. After being a doormat for so long and losing so consistently I think it will be hard to get the kind of players who want to play for this team. The team needs new coaching and direction. I’m sure that Marvin and the owner simply think that they can cut some players and bring in some new ones and that will be a fix to it all. It’s obvious that that has been part of the problem to start with. Wait until the play the Redskins next week. The Bengals are going to get their A…. kicked.

The boycott stuff never works and Mike Brown knows it. Season ticket holders may b***h and moan about this being the last year, but they’ll ultimately fork over the check so they won’t lose their seat location. If you want to bring the pain to the Brown family take away their anonymity. They should not be able to go to Kroger, the Mall, or a restaurant without someone telling them “Shame on you!” for all the lies Mike Brown and the rest told to get taxpayer money for Paul Brown Stadium. It may not faze Mike, since he’s incapable of shame, but it will wear down the rest.

Vietvet, You are correct. You won’t be able to hurt Brown on ticket sales because there are too many people and kids that would like to go to a game and see a football game no matter how bad the team is. You and a couple of others are correct in that the message can be delivered by getting rid of all the secondary merchandise. I don’t think that sending it to the team owner is the answer though because the information will never get to the public. The best idea I can think of is to mail it to newspaper or TV offices or to the cincinnati city council and let them know your disgust. I doubt that Brown will change but the public does need to know that genuine football fans here are not happy with the tean and his behavior. It may sound wild but it’s better than putting a bag over your head. If anyone needs to do that it’s Mike Brown and Marvin lewis.

the other way is to get on the Colts waiting list.. thats a real football team to watch and they are only 100 miles away.. At least your sanity is not in question being on their list compared to Mikey-Boys list!! Just watch.. Marvin will keep his job because cheapskate cant bare to eat marvins 2 years left on the deal.. So no matter what the record is, Marvin will stay unless Marvin quits!! and yes the Q&A was a joke and hopefully other season ticket holders mail their stuff back to the idiot too..and a nasty letter with it..

I have been sending Mike Brown postcards expressing my displeasure with his management style all year. Hopefully his secretary will eventually give him one and his feelings will at least be slightly hurt. It’s all I’ve got. -andrew

Andrew, You’d be better off sending postcards to the Dayton Daily News or the city of Cincinnati. At least they’d have evidence to someone is upset. It won’t do any good to send stuff to an arrogant organization or the NFL. They’ll just sit on it.

Chickster, enough about losers. Why not a post about RAISING athletes? You had a heckuva volleyball player, and now I see you boy scored 24 to lead Fenwick over Oakwood. What’s in the water in Miamisburg? Take some to Mike, Marvin and the Bengals.

Well, on a bright note since I knew the gals had no shot, I picked up Indy’s defense for fantasy football this week and they got me like 26 points. ha

I think Blindeye has a great idea. If each of us disgruntled fans would pack up just one Bengal item and send it to the Enquirer or TV station,it would eventually get more attention than sending a boatload of stuff to Mikey’s secretary. I am glad to see some have done that even if Mikey never sees it. The next viable option may be to build a fire under Palmer’s wealthy a*s and urge him to confront Mikey with a firm list of changes. No one else could pull it off except Palmer. Sadly, I don’t think he has the trinkets to stand up and be counted.

Yeah, I know you’re right, Blindeye. It’s more for me than anything… not interested in mounting a campaign against those clowns. Brown and his crew wouldn’t listen if I had a special on CNN, Fox News and the major three networks about their laughable excuse for a franchise.
