Willie told Bengals he wanted out

‘I DIDN’T WANT TO

PLAY THERE ANYMORE’

HE GOT TIRED OF

DEALING WITH

OFF-FIELD ISSUES

In the end, Willie Anderson had had enough.

Enough of Chad Ocho Cinco’s antics. Enough of Chris Henry’s arrests. Enough of the daily drama, trauma and soap opera known as the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 13-year NFL veteran was fed up to the point of being sick and tired of it all.

He spoke his mind, got released and eventually signed with the AFC North Division rival Baltimore Ravens, the Bengals’ opening day opponent on Sunday, Sept. 7. Adam Terry is due to start at right offensive tackle for the Ravens, but you know, just know, Willie’s going to play.

After signing a three-year, $11 million contract with the Ravens on Friday, Anderson practiced with the squad, then told The Baltimore Sun:

“They didn’t cut me because I couldn’t play,” Anderson said. “They cut me because I said I didn’t want to play there anymore. After 13 years, you get tired of dealing with non-football issues.”

Well then, was the original story we heard all a smokescreen? I’m trying to reconcile Big Willie’s supposed counteroffer with this version. To make it all mesh, the timing of events is probably crucial here.

So he goes to a team even worse than the egals when he could have gone to winning teams? The truth is he is in it only for the money. Have a great time n Baltimore with their QB’s!

Yeah, what’s the real truth, now that we’ve heard various explanations of what happened? Willie sounds like more of an @ss all the time. Has he decided he has the energy to compete after all, now that he’s gone to the Ravens? I thought he said he was too old for the daily practicing and fighting for a job. Well, he’s the enemy now, and apparently by choice! Who Dey!

That’s a bunch of BS. He had no problem til they asked him to take a pay cut. That’s what this is all about, and that is fine, just don’t try to make it about other things.

Willie is just responding to Marvin’s comments about him on another website about lazy Willie never practicing: As for seeing Anderson on the other team Sunday, Lewis said, “If he’s standing in a T-shirt, that’s how I’ve seen him.”
