In order to see enough advertising I probably watch about 5 hours of TV a day, yes! With 18 to 20 minutes of advertising an hour, I need 5 hours to get my 1.5 hours or so of corporate sponsorship, which helps keep American going. As Governor John Kasich has suggested; we must as individuals help our corporate partners stay successful. When I get up I watch 10 minutes of TV to check whether or not to take my umbrella or wear my solar panel ball cap which powers my blue-toothed wireless thingy. Then at noon I watch a 1/2 hour or so of Fox News and hear about dirt bags like Rupert Murdoch, while eating a McD’s wrap with a senior Coke! In the evening after dinner Effie goes on the computer while I watch the News and then Prime Time T.V. So, by the end of the evening I have watched another 4.25 hours of whatever to get my fill of commercials. I wear hats with advertising and I wear T-Shirts with advertising, plus the icons on my shoes and some socks. I hope the new program the Governor has in place will create more jobs so more people can be good patriots, like me and Effie. We can’t wait til Kwamie comes out with FrackinRight! ballcaps! It will be Super! Am I addicted? I don’t know, you tell me.

I watch zilch on the TV. I get on line read the news, check several things such as banking, mail but amnot on any social sites. Way to much posted in the way of drama and personal things I’d rather not know about. People who I am close to email me or call me to comunicate. I do turn on the Tv when I go to bed. Set it on a channel that has a lot of naration so I can listen to it and not watch it, set the sleep timer, and go to sleep before the Tv ever shuts off. I do not spend my day on the computer ither. I get up early enough so I can get this ritual done while drinking my coffee so that when daylight breaks I am ready to do chores or whatever. There is not a whole lot of shows anymore that are even worth watching so I have lost all interest. I have over 200 channels and a dvd-r but from July of last year to Jan. the Tv in the living room was never turned on and I didn’t know how to operate the dvd-r until my brother had an accident. During his recuperation at my house he watched TV a lot and showed me how to use the Dvd-r. Since he left, the Tv wasn’t turned on and I could care less about anything recorded. What can I say, it was part of a package deal that was offered at a great price so that is the only reason I have it.

Not much. Maybe an hour or two. I use Netflix and the internet more often than I watch television (so my “screen” time is easily at 5+ hours…).

I find the early morning drive into downtown Dayton relaxing, refreshing and inspiring. Looking out my car window, I see a homeless man urinating against a tree, and a little further along I see a crack addict breaking into a parked car. The gentle crunch of an empty 40 ouncer under my tires, and the sound of a hooker shouting “ten bucks” while she lifts her skirt remind me how lucky I am to be in downtown Dayton. ————————————————————————————————As I exit my car, I momentarily reflect on the fact that I my never see this vehicle again, but my reflection is interrupted by the used condom stuck to the sole of my shoe. I quietly stroll past a truck filled with City of Dayton maintenance workers, all fast asleep, bless their hearts.————————————————————————————————————————— As I approach the heart of the city, the air is filled with the aroma of pot, B.O., exhaust fumes, and….what’s that? A stiff on the sidewalk? Wow! This is a special day!!! My steps are buoyant and an irresistible smile lights my face. How fortunate I am, to be working every day in downtown Dayton!!!!

hey Mr. Negative, I see your complaints about dayton…What are you doing to change things other than to whine like my 3 year old…. So if your going to whine at least back it up by telling us what actions you have taken to help improve things, what you have done to improve jobs cause whining is cheep.

.5 hours. Just the local news broadcast. After that, I can’t stand to watch anything else. PBS even sucks.

I used to watch TV but since I’ve started school I hardly ever get to actually watch anything. I sat down the other day and recorded two shows that I was interested in. Haven’t watched them yet. I like the crime shows and am absolutely fascinated with anything on NATGEO…but that’s if I have the time :) Maybe one of these days…

Not much to watch on TV these days. All my favorite shows have either been cancelled or been finalized. Reality shows mostly repeat the same drama with some minor twists to them. I mostly watch TV DVD shows from my library or my own collection that I have bought. Until there is a show worth watching out there, Regular TV=2 hours, DVD TV Shows=who knows how many hours.

In Order, why is Rupert Murdoch a scumbag? He shut down the paper that did the illegal activity. So according to you Obama is a scumbag because of the TSA gun scandel. We will see how Ohio is doing in a couple of years of Kasich. I like how liberals say nothing is obama’s fault after 2 1/2 years but all the republicans need to fix things within weeks they came into office. Try being a less obvious that you are completely irrational and have many opinions but no facts to back up a single one of them. You have to be either a kid or an very uneducated person.

Mine is close to zero, because even when something is on that is of interest, I am still doing other activities. With a satellite box, I can always pause and replay anything that is of real interest. I feel sorry for people that sit and watch TV for any length of time, doing nothing except watching.

Being “glued to the tube” was bad enough “back in the day” when there were only three channels…ABC/NBC/CBS. One wonders why a question By DDN is asked with over 300 channels available now. Do you think with unemployment, and more free time by people that do work, that there would be more boob tube watching? I watch as little as possible…But will sit down with Science Channel/Natural Geographic/History/and occasinally TLC. PMSNBC/CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC ect. are interesting to watch because of the blatent Obama Government controlled propaganda and revisonism they spew forth. Goebbels in Germany and the staff at Pravda would be envious of their accomplisments. Being a liar is always easy…it’s the truth that these entities always avoid. Typical first stages of totalitarianism.

With the growing competition in internet options and gaming, how can television watching be growing? Outside of some new programming, what we watch is streamed Netflix to our television screen from our laptop….

My average on a working day is: 30 minutes in the morning while I eat breakfast and then when I get home the first thing I do is turn it back on. I leave it on all evening until I go to bed. Once in my bedroom, I turn that tv on and it stays on all night until I wake up. I walk to the living room and the process starts all over again. I am not solely focused on the TV all evening mind you, but I like for it to be on. My favorite show is Morgan Freeman’s “Through the Wormhole” on the Science Channel. I enjoy any thought-provoking show like this. I also enjoy Seinfeld, It’s Always Sunny, and I’m a huge fan of “good” cartoons- i.e. anything from Adventure Time to Family Guy, American Dad - all Adult Swim really. I absolutely HATE reality tv as I feel it only makes our entire country dumber for watching (and believing) them.

As for the time, I’d say anywhere from 7.5+ hours daily. More on the weekends typically.
