What’s your favorite Elvis Presley song or memory?
Elvis Presley would have celebrated his 75th birthday this month. What’s your favorite Elvis song or memory?
ERNIE WIGGINS, Franklin: “My favorite Elvis song is ‘Way Down.’ We saw him at UD Arena in 1976. It was a great show. That was just a year or so before he died.”
JOHN WALDON, Middletown: “ ‘Blue Suede Shoes.’ It was catchy.”
WESTLEY RUCKER, Moraine: “I like ‘Hound Dog’ or ‘Teddy Bear.’ Or ‘Devil in Disguise’ — I think that’s really my favorite.”
STAN NICHOLS, Centerville: “ ‘Little Sister.’ It’s a rockabilly beat. Just a good song.”
MARGE COOK, St. Marys: “My mom really loved Elvis. I’d probably say ‘Blue Suede Shoes.’ ”
BECKY NICHOLS, Centerville: “I like ‘Blue Christmas.’ It’s a nice Christmas song, and I love Christmas.”

“Kentucky Rain” or “In the ghetto”. Both of these are overlooked or forgotten but even my ten year old daughter can’t help but sing along with them. Really how can you narrow one Elvis song down as your favorite?
