Did childhood abuse make Jesse James cheat? Ex step mom calls his claims “appalling”
UPDATE:
In an video interview posted on Radaronline.com, Jesse James’ dad says his heart was broke when he heard his son make abuse allegations on Nightline Tuesday.
Larry James denied ever beating his son, the soon-to-be ex husband of actress Sandra Bullock.
“I would never hurt my son for all the tea in China,” James says emotionally. “There’s nothing, I would have died. I would have never let anyone hurt my kids.”
Jesse James is a big fat liar, according to his former step mom.
Janina James Coan told TMZ that Sandra Bullock’s soon-to-be ex lied to America during this “Nightline” interview.
James claimed he entered rehab following revelations of his affairs mainly to deal with issues of childhood abuse.
“I was always scared,” James said in the interview on Tuesday. “I never had a chance to be a kid.”
James said his father beat his “ass good a bunch of times,” adding that his career and public life is a smoke screen to hid the fact that he is “a scared, abused kid, a 7-year-old.”
James said his dad once chased him in the dark when he was kid. When James fell and broke his arm, James said his father laughed at him and called him a dummy.
“Sunny (his daughter) is the age that I was when my dad broke my arm,” James said red faced and crying.
James said he was a terrorized kid, fearing his father’s next move.
Janina James Coan told TMZ she was “appalled” by what Jesse James said about his father, Larry James.
“Larry was the most caring father, the kindest father who would do anything for anybody. He loved Jesse to death and would brag about him all the time,” she said, citing trouble Jesse James got into as a teen.
The father and son haven’t gotten along since James was 16 and his father reported him to police for allegedly robbing a Fotomat.
Jesse James said his affairs and destructive ways weren’t about trying to hurt his soon-to-be ex wife Sandra Bullock.
“Its about trying to push someone away I thought was going to leave anyway,” he said.
