Bristol Palin wants money from baby daddy Levi

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, wants her baby’s dad to pay up.

Palin filed court documents seeking $1,750 a month in temporary child support payments from Levi Johnston, according to TMZ and CNN.

And she wants the money retroactive back to her son’s birth on December 27, 2008.

Palin’s camp contents that Johnston earned $105,000 in 2009, but he only gave up $4,400 for Tripp’s care.

Johnston’s manager reportedly told TMZ that Johnston has given Palin $10,000 for the baby.

If you recall, Palin is trying to get full custody of the baby.

Bristol, leave Levi alone. Your mama’s got plenty of money, get some from her.

If Levi made 6 figures last year, he needs to be paying a lot more in child support - $1,750 is not unreasonable. It’s not Grandma Sarah’s job to support the baby - it’s Levi’s.

Are you serious?? This is what gives women a bad name. Greed. It only takes so much many to raise a child - the rest is a penalty and revenge. I’ve worked my entire life and raise a child on a salary of $2000/month!! Be proud and demand what you need. Anything more and you are taking advantage of the situation. Sometimes women hide behind what’s best for the child when really it’s what’s best for their own wallet. Get a job and quit trying to live off someone else.

Let’s absolve all fathers of supporting their children. No accoutability will certainly curtain the number of illegitimate babies. Won’t it?

Best thing all around would be to forget the child support and use the money to geld old horny Levi.

Levi is a deadbeat who would have nothing had he not gotten Bristol pregnant. Bristol and the baby should get half of everything Levi has until the baby becomes of age.

Regardless of any personal opinions about Levi or Bristol, it is Levi’s responsibility to financially support the life he brought into this world.

Yes, he has PART of the responsibility of raising his child, but $1,750 a month? Give me a break. So when he is back to being a no-name…and those days are coming…will they reduce this figure?

Saying she needs to keep her legs closed is so knee-jerk. You could turn it around and say that he needs to keep his pants on. The fact is the baby is here now and they both need to make the best of it. I get the feeling that some people think it’s only the responsibility of the father to support his child. Oh, and to the blogger, it “contend” not content. Palin’s camp contends…

The cost of living is alot higher in different areas of the United States. Alaska may have a higher cost of living. The comment on “keeping her legs closed”…seriously?

The cost of living is not consistent across the United States. Alaska may have a higher cost of living. The comment on “keeping her legs closed”…seriously? So it’s all on Bristol huh?

Shame! You play you pay. Now it’s time to pay. Sorry folks, the more income you make the more you can provide for your kid(s). Kids aren’t cheap! Personally, I think neither one of them have good parents to teach “the birds and the bees” Then to be paraded on national tv like it was okay. Wrong!

What most people don’t realize is that when a woman files for child support, the amount set is based on a percentage of his income. She doesn’t get to request a specific dollar amount!

Bristol needs to step up and take care of her child as well not have her mom support the baby. It seems like all Bristol wants is publicity. This is a personal matter and needs to stay that way. I’m not saying she doesn’t deserve money to help raise THEIR child but it’s not all about her!

Just like it takes two to make a child, it should take two to raise one. While it’s unfortunate that this child is being raised in the public,The fact is that had it not been the case this child would be just another statistic born to two young people left to themselves and their parents to work things through. And there is nothing wrong with one parent having sole custody of the child. That doesn’t mean that Levi’s parental rights for visitation would be severed. It just means that the child would hopefully have a stable home without being juggled back and forth on certain days of the week. They are both young and struggling in the limelight. I can only hope someone will council them both on the civilities of working closely together for the common good of the child.

So Levi takes sole responsibility for bringing the kid into this world? Takes two to produce a kid, which makes Bristol equally responsible. Bristol must share in the blame. $1750/month seems a tad bit high for one kid. Sounds like Bristol wants to sit at home while mom pays to take care of the kid, while Levi is coming up with the money to tend to Bristol’s little lifestyle. The Palins have a little vindictive streak in them, don’t they?

Yes I do believe that Levi should pay up. Good luck with that !But for many mother’s just like Palins daughter thay cannot hire lawyers and cannot get the help they need from the agency’s to get the money for thier children .If the agency’s do get the father finally they take it all away from the mother .The system needs to get off thier bottoms and help mothers out more and bring father’s to man up as they say.

It takes two to make a baby and both parents should be help financially responsible and yes it is based on income. Sadly, Levi has made a name for himself by having this baby and appearing on talk shows and in magazines, but he thinks $4,000 should do it?

Where did the $250,000 go that People Magazine paid for the baby pictures? Did Levi get any of that money?

He should have to pay something additional because it is his child but 1750.00 a month is excessive! I saw someone say he wouldnt have anything if he wouldnt have gotten Bristol kocked up but how much he pays in child support wouldnt even be important if McCain didnt draw her mother’s name out of a hat as a running partner.

Bristol has every right to expect Levi to support their child. If they had married he would have supported the baby, so why shouldn’t he otherwise? It isn’t the baby’s fault its parents have issues. A friend of mine used to be married to a guy named Craig Alan Gerber and after three years of divorce he owes $20,000 dollars in back child support to his three children. Men should be men and not run away from their responsibilities regardless of marital situations. In the end it’s just an excuse to say, “Out of sight, out of mind.”
