Reports: Conan may get paid $32 million

Don’t feel so bad for Conan.

He’s losing the “Tonight Show” but channeling the Wayans brothers, CoCo could get paid mo’ money, mo’ money, mo’ money.

TMZ says it has confirmed reports that NBC could give Conan O’Brien a $32.5 million see-ya-later alligator package.

His employees will also receive a severance.

The catch according to TMZ is that any money Conan makes during his remaining contract period with NBC will offset what the network actually has to pay him.

This means that if FOX or another network picks him up and pays him top dollar, NBC’s obligation will be a lot less.

What do you think?

Me thinks that Conan should get a delayed compensation package with bonus for 2011 based on 2010 Nielsen ratings. He could take the same salary as Steve Jobs this year and next year will bring the big dollars. Not that he’ll have to count his pennies for this year…

He deserves all he can get. He nor Leno ask for the problem that NBC put them through. Good luck to him

Wow! At least I’ll be able to sleep better tonight. I haven’t slept since this all started. I was afraid Conan would only get $30 million.

Thank God they’ve worked out a deal. I really hate to see anyone lose their job in this tough economy!

Where Conan is getting 32.5Mil, I hope he gives his staffer a little bit more than the $40,000 severence that NBC is giving each of them. Conan should make it an even 100K and call it a day. That’s reducing his take by 12,000,000.

If I were Conan I would take the money and run. Seriously.
