Rachael Ray to air update show on local community
“The Rachael Ray Show” will update its viewers on Wilmington during a segment set to run 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, on WKEF-TV channel 22.
Ray received such an overwhelming response to her Thanksgiving show taped in Wilmington that she wanted to update her audience about what has happened since, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Ray hosted a Thanksgiving dinner in Wilmington last month.
Cincinnati native and former 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey also appeared as did HGTV stars Carter Oosterhouse and Kahi Lee.
Oosterhouse, host of “Carter Can” overhauled the kitchen at Sugartree Ministry Center.
Center director Allen Willoughby will appear on Ray show Wednesday. The soup kitchen received a year’s supply of food from Sarah Lee.
The show will include additional stories from Wilmington, including the show’s visit to an animal shelter.
Wilmington residents were rocked when DHL, that community’s major employer, announced last year that it was leaving.
The company has ceased most operations there.
Comedian Jay Leno in May preformed two free shows there as part of Jay’s Comedy Stimulus Plan.
