The 34 year-old Christmas eve baby has helped make American Idol one of history’s most popular TV shows.

But does he deserve the $45 million that is reported to be coming his way?

Seacrest signed the lucrative new deal Monday, July 13, the Associated Press reported Monday, July 13.

It will keep him hosting “American Idol” through 2012 as well as participating in new projects.

Does he deserve that sort of loot?

Sure, if he can get it. You can’t fault the guy for getting being smart and getting paid. It’s the people watching these shows that place people like him on a pedistal. So how can you blame him for making an easy living doing what he does?

You sociopath “don’t have a life” mooncows will fund his salary. You can’t/won’t pay your own way/bills, blame it on “greed” from people who do pay thier bills, have the “cohones” to complain that your shallowness is criticized, and then look at the comments highlighting your narcissism/shallowness/idol psychosis as an attack on “normalcy”. Don’t address/correct your own limitations….just continue to fund a TV show that adds nothing to life, but your own loser aspirations. Mooncows.

He must have a good agent. No looks or talent. Same for Jeff Probst on Survivor.

hey don’t be jealous just becasue he knows what he wants in life and goes after it. if you want a better life than go work for it. the bottom could drop off for him or anyone else in this day and time. nothing is guranteed in this life. just pray that folks do have a job and home and pets to live. things aren’t so great this day and age.

I’ve met him personaly and he is pretty full of himself (arrogant) but he works extremely hard on his many projects and deserves as much as he can get out of the entertainment business. If he is making millions and millions for different shows then why should he be entitled to some of it.

The guy isn’t hurting anyone so why shouldn’t he take what’s offered? I don’t care about him one way or the other but if I could make that much money honestly then I would do it.

No one should make that much money-not when so many hard working people are just making it. That being said, he does work hard at many projects and you can’t fault someone for taking advantage of stupid people who are willing to dish out that kind of paycheck. I hope he gives to a lot of Charities.

His contract is through 2012?! Will Idol even be on the air in 2012? The show has jumped the shark and I only see it on until 2011 at the latest.
