Rebecca Romjin debuts hot post-babies bod

A month after welcoming twins, Rebecca Romijn showed off her fit body, wearing yoga pants, flip flops and a T-shirt for a stroll in Calabasas, Calif. Not spotted? Husband Jerry O’Connell or babies Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip.
Pal Howard Stern first announced the Dec. 28 birth of the couple’s girls on his radio show.
“They had twin girls, Dolly and Charlie,” Stern said on Jan. 5. “Rebecca likes Dolly Parton, so they named the one after Dolly Parton, and Jerry got to name the other one Charlie, but his brother’s name is Charlie — and it’s a girl Charlie.”
In November, the then eight-months-pregnant actress complained to Page Six magazine that she couldn’t “move anymore…I’m a beached whale!”
She added: “I have not been without a bra this entire pregnancy. I refuse. I’m not taking any chances. I’m determined to keep the puppies up!”

Val Kilmer to rule Krewe of Bacchus parade
Val Kilmer will reign as celebrity king when the Krewe of Bacchus parade rolls through New Orleans on Feb. 22, two days before Mardi Gras.
Kilmer will be decked out in royal apparel as he rides through the city on a float in the annual parade. “He’s very excited,” said Bacchus captain Owen “Pip” Brennan. Kilmer will visit Children’s Hospital, a tradition every reigning Bacchus has participated in for the past three decades, Brennan said.
“He loves coming to New Orleans” Brennan said. “He said this has always been a favorite destination of his.”
Last year, wrestler and reality TV star Hulk Hogan was the krewe’s celebrity king. Danny Kaye was the first Bacchus in 1969. Past Bacchus kings also include William Shatner, Billy Crystal, James Gandolfini, Bob Hope, Nicolas Cage, Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston and Ron Howard.
Bacchus organizers on Friday also unveiled the doubloon that will bear Kilmer’s likeness. A doubloon is a souvenir coin thrown to spectators during the parade.

Evan Rachel Wood denies Rourke rumors
Evan Rachel Wood is not hooking up with her Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke.
After reports surfaced the actors — who have 35 years between them in age — got cozy at a SAG Awards after-party, Wood told Rolling Stone: “I’m upset because I feel disrespected by the press and by Mr. Rourke. Just because I’m single doesn’t mean that you can take advantage of me. It’s unfair that the performances might suffer because of all of these distractions.”
She went on: “I’m not attracted to him, he’s too old for me. Nothing ever happened and nothing ever will.”
Rourke’s rep also denied the reports. “There is absolutely no truth in these rumors,” his rep told Usmagazine.com Thursday. “Mickey and Evan became great friends during filming and remain friends, nothing more.”
The best part of being unattached? “I can go on a road trip with my girlfriends anytime,” she told Us. “I don’t have to check in with people. I can stay out late. I can talk to guys, no one freaks out!”

Eddie George’s wife on upcoming Survivor

OK, so she’s not exactly local, but anybody who lives around here is probably familiar with the Ohio State Buckeye football and its impressive list of Heisman Trophy winners, including Eddie George. If you’re not familiar with Ohio State football, you may have driven down Columbus’ High Street, right past Eddie George’s Grill — yup, that’s his restaurant.
Anyway, his wife, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George, is a player-to-be on the upcoming Survivor (debuting on Feb. 12, 8 p.m., CBS). Here’s her profile, and here’s Eddie’s own Web site.
Pre-game analysis from Jeff Probst: Taj will have to work because of appearances; she always smiles, but if she stops smiling, she’ll get voted out; the flipside is she’s “so likable”; people find out she’s married to a former NFL player… that could work against her.

Paula still the wackiest thing about “Idol”

Paula Abdul keeps American Idol interesting, especially Tuesday night, when she walking out of an audition in Jacksonville, Fla., after she got ticked off because the other judges were ignoring her.
Simon Cowell and new judge Kara DioGuardi had just offered their critiques of contestant Julissa Veloz, when Abdul interrupted, “OK, I guess my opinion doesn’t matter. It’s so funny because there’s four judges… sometimes we forget there’s a fourth opinion in this room!” She then walked off.
Veloz followed Abdul and begged her to come back out. “I can’t do this, Julissa!” Abdul was overheard complaining.Veloz then tried reassuring Abdul: “It’s OK, you’ve been doing this for eight seasons…” After some prodding, Abdul returned and voted “yes” on sending Julissa to Hollywood.
The judges later suggested Abdul’s stunt was all in good fun. When it came time for DioGuardi to vote, she said “yes” to Julissa. The reason? “She brought Paula back!”

Joaquin’s new career may be a big joke

Remember when Joaquin Phoenix told the world he’s quitting acting? He said he was serious. Then he took to the stage in Vegas Jan. 16 to debut his new career as a rapper. Is it all a hoax?
Entertainment Weekly thinks so. Sources tell the magazine that Phoenix’s bizarre career change, which Casey Affleck (who’s married to Phoenix’s sister Summer) has been filming, is a joke at the expense of the entertainment media and actors who take themselves too seriously.
“He said, ‘It’s a put-on. I’m going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it,’” says one source who recently worked with Phoenix.
Phoenix isn’t expected to break character anytime soon, EW reports: “It’s an art project for him,” says a source. “He’s going full out. He probably has told his reps that he’s quit acting. Joaquin is very smart.”
Or very weird. Or both.

Donny Osmond reveals DWTS plans

Donny Osmond has let slip that he is about to step into his sister Marie’s dancing shoes, so to speak.
While next season’s stars have yet to be announced for the ABC hit Dancing with the Stars, Donny appeared with Marie for a Monday taping of the syndicated The Bonnie Hunt Show for an episode scheduled to air Tuesday.
Asked by his TV hostess if, like his sister, he’d ever consider doing Dancing, the former teen idol, 51, flashed his trademark smile and said, “Well, I guess I am making an announcement. I’ll say I am seriously considering doing it, let’s put it that way.” Never one for a poker face, Osmond added with a laugh, “I guess I just let the cat out of the bag.”
Hunt said, “I think it is going to be fabulous to watch you on the show, Donny. We’re gonna love it. You are a natural-born performer.”
Interjected Marie: “I just want to see him in stretchy pants.” Eeeeewwwwww. That’s a little gross.

Jolie-Pitt & Co. arrive, in force, in Japan

Two days after walking the red carpet at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted — with all six of their kids — at Narita International Airport in Tokyo on Tuesday.
Maddox, 7, Zahara, 4, Pax, 5, Shiloh, 2 — who walked alongside their parents — don’t mind all the globetrotting, Jolie recently said. “Our kids are always packing,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “They like to pack; it’s a game in our house. It can get very hard trying to find 20 minutes to close your eyes if you’ve been up since four in the morning. We travel so much, we never have to adjust. We change school time to four in the afternoon if we have to!”

Harry invites Obama girls to Hogwarts
They’ve already been invited to hang with Hannah Montana, now Malia and Sasha Obama also have the chance to meet Harry Potter.
Describing President Barack Obama as “everything the rest of the world liked about America and now likes again,” Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe offered to show the first daughters around Hogwarts. “I’d like to take this opportunity to issue a public invitation to the Obamas that if their daughters would like a private tour of the Harry Potter set, I would be honored to be their personal tour guide.”
Radcliffe, who will soon begin filming the final installment in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, said he was “so proud and happy” for America, calling Obama “both Martin Luther King and JFK.” Added the actor, “He is a symbol of progress which is what we dig about this country. What you love about England is all the old buildings and such. The traditions. I love that, too. But this is what we want from you.”
The actor also weighed in on Twilight star Robert Pattinson’s recent claim that girls would choose Radcliffe over Pattinson.
“I can safely say … they would not. That they do not,” Radcliffe said. “He is the much prettier and can be much more charming. And he can do that thing of being sultry and sexy. Rob can just sort of stand there and look at something and start to smolder. And I just can’t do that. I’m a natural fidget.”

Local ‘Survivor’ involved in Colin Farrell sex-tape scandal

TMZ, that online source of all things seedy and therefore fun to read, is reporting that Dayton’s own Candace Smith, one of the contestants on the upcoming “Survivor” (debuts Feb. 12, 8 p.m. on CBS) was involved in a sex-tape scandal with a girlfriend and Colin Farrell.
Trouble is, she’s not in the tape. Nope, Ms. Smith, who grew up in Dayton, was Miss Ohio 2003, attended Northwestern University’s School of Law and now lives in L.A., was included in a lawsuit by Farrell, who was doing his utmost to stop its distribution. She was part of the distribution end of things.
In February 2006, TMZ posted the news — and a copy of an official-looking document — that Smith was “in on the plot” to distribute the X-rated tape Farrell made with then-girlfriend Nicole Narain.
Farrell originally sued Narain in July 2005, including as defendants 20 unnamed “Does” (copy of the lawsuit here); In February 2006, Farrel’s complaint was amended to include Smith by name.
The lawsuit, in which Farrell claimed the tape was really really private and shouldn’t be up for sale, was dismissed a month later. It’s quite possible some behind-the-scenes deal was worked out, as an Internet search for the tape turned links that are, alas, inaccessible. Ah well.

Prince Harry breaks up with girlfriend

Britain’s Prince Harry and his Zimbabwe-born girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 23, are calling it quits after five years, according to a BBC report. The British news outlet says the 24-year-old prince split amicably with Davy, a post-graduate law student at Leeds University, weeks after the couple had vacationed together in the Indian Ocean nation of Mauritius.
According to another British newspaper, News of the World, Davy, the daughter of a millionaire safari operator, made the decision to break up. This is the second time the couple has reportedly parted ways.
The pair was introduced through mutual friends in 2004 and conducted a long-distance relationship for three years while Davy studied at a university in Cape Town, South Africa, and Harry was enrolled at Britain’s Sandhurst military academy. Last week, Harry began a new phase of his military career, a 2½-year course with the Army Air Corps in helicopter pilot training.

Gisele says Tom Brady hasn’t proposed
Despite reports by various media outlets (including People magazine and TMZ.com), Gisele Bundchen says she and Tom Brady aren’t engaged.
“I don’t know how people are so creative,” the model, 28, told Brazilian magazine Caras Gi during Sao Paulo Fashion Week (via The Boston Herald). “First [TMZ] said he proposed to me in a plane. Imagine, it was Dec. 24, Christmas, we were flying to Boston, then there was some champagne and we celebrated the date.
“Ready? Someone deduced I was getting engaged! I received more than 100 e-mails from friends commenting about the proposal,” she went on. “Now there’s a new rumor [in People magazine], that he proposed to me on last Friday. I wasn’t even there, how can that be true?”
She also denied the People report that they plan to wed in Costa Rica. “This talk of Costa Rica must be for the fact I have a house there,” she said.

“Grey’s” penis injury sparks Google frenzy

According to the search engine Google, two of the three most searched terms at present are “penile fracture” and “broken penis”.
It follows Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, in which consultant Mark Sloan — otherwise known as McSteamy (played by Eric Dane, above) — suffered a fractured penis after indulging in sex in the on-call room with Lexie Grey.
On the show, the injury sparked intense speculation among colleagues as to who was responsible for his agonizing injury. Sloan is generally considered to be one of the program’s principal heart-throbs, and has had romantic trysts with a large number of the main female characters.
His injury is rare but can occur, although it mainly affects young men during sexual intercourse. Netdoctor.co.uk reports that a fracture can occur when abnormal force is applied to the erect penis, and results in a cracking noise combined with intense pain. It is caused by a “tear in the tunica albuginea, the thick fibrous coat surrounding the corpora cavernosum tissue that produces an erection.” Most cases (75 per cent) occur on one side, 25 per cent affect both sides and in 10 per cent the tear extends into the urethra. It is treated with pain relief, ice packs and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Sarah Jessica, hubby have romantic date
Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick mixed business and, apparently, pleasure in each other’s company, with a visit to Broadway that included hand-holding.
After watching The American Plan, a play starring Mercedes Ruehl and Lily Rabe, Parker told a reporter, “This is date night. It was really lovely.”
Parker also addressed recent reports that she and Broderick were close to splitting. “We don’t even bother to address them,” Parker said, adding that the best part of being married is “being married.” Defending their relationship wasn’t the only thing on their minds, however.
The couple attended the play to support the director David Grindley, who will begin rehearsals for The Philanthropist, another Broadway play, with Broderick in six weeks.
As for the news that a sequel to Parker’s hit movie Sex and the City is a done deal, Parker said, “that’s what I’ve heard but I wouldn’t say that is the most official thing you’ll ever read.”

Judge takes Rutherford’s side, she gets son
Kelly Rutherford will be allowed to take her son Hermes, 2, to New York until the end of March. Judge Michael Levanas stated that to leave Hermes in L.A. with Rutherford’s estranged husband, Daniel Giersch, would be removing the child from his mother “cold turkey,” which could be detrimental to the boy.
In making his ruling, the judge stated that he had to consider “the plan least likely to cause trauma to [Hermes].” If Rutherford went to New York without her son, “the minor would have his first multiple nights away [from his mom],” said Judge Levanas.
But the judge had praise for both Rutherford, 40, and Giersch, 34, who remained composed throughout the hearing. “I can’t find fault with either of you.” He complimented Giersch, saying, “I applaud you [for your efforts in this case]. I want you to see [Hermes] every single day” in New York.
Rutherford’s lawyer previously stated that the actress planned to leave for New York on Sunday due to work obligations. The next hearing in the couple’s case has been set for April.

Andy Dick opens up about alcohol, bisexuality
On Friday’s Tyra Banks Show, Andy Dick — who currently stars on VH1’s Sober House with Dr. Drew — opens up about his battle with alcoholism and his bisexuality.
The 43-year old Dick (who has been charged a number of times with DUI and drug possession), said living under Dr. Drew’s roof (his 10th rehab program) is challenging due to the “no sex” rule.
“He’s got the animal caged,” Dick says of Dr. Drew. “I’m under his care officially, and he’s like, ‘Look, folks … he ain’t gonna attack.’ I know that I’m ready to turn a corner with my alcoholism because I’m willing to talk about it. Believe it or not, my last bout with alcohol was beer.”
Dick also revealed that he is “tri-sexual.”
“I’ll try anything,” he told Banks. “I really have tried everything, except nothing with animals. There’s only room for one animal — that would be me.”
Dick — who said he is equally attracted to both men and women — said he is “not accepted” as bisexual in either the gay or straight community.
“I say, ‘I’m bi, my love knows no gender,’ and the straight community says, ‘Oh right, that’s just a cover-up — you’re gay!’” Dick said. “And the gay community says, ‘Yeah right, that’s just a cover-up — you’re gay,’” he went on. “They both want to push me gay.”
Dick said he has “been monogamous” with mostly women his whole life. “I’ve never been monogamous with a man,” he said. “When I’m with men, usually I’m out of my mind drinking. Dr. Drew says ‘using,’ but then it sounds like I’m a heroin addict.”

Miley: “I love Nick Jonas” (and his brothers!)
Miley Cyrus has no beef with her ex-boyfriend, Nick Jonas. Or his brothers.
“I know you guys saw me, I was hanging out with the Jonas Brothers at the inaugural [concert]. That was really good,” the singer, 16, said in her latest YouTube video. “And we are friends … I love the JoBros.”
Cyrus was even spotted hugging ex Nick at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert on Monday night. “I love Nicky. I do love him,” she said. “I love Kevin. I love Joe. I love Frankie. I love all the boys.”
She also set the record straight (again) on Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, insisting there is no feud. “So everyone thinking there’s a big feud between me … and Selena and Demi. Actually, I’m going to have meatloaf with Demi tonight,” she said. “I’m riding my bike to Demi’s house. So I’m going to be partying with Demi ‘cause we’re friends, and I love her and she always is there for me. She is one of my bestest friends.”
Before signing off, Cyrus told fans, “And so we have moved on and it’s good for everyone else to too … so everyone needs to back off the feud, ‘cause we’re over. I’ve always been one to be honest.”

Kelly Obourne arrested for summer assault
Kelly Osbourne has been arrested for allegedly slapping a journalist in a London nightclub last summer.
The 24-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne was released on bail as inquiries continue. She is scheduled to return to see authorities in March.
The allegations stem from a claim that Osbourne hit gossip columnist Zoe Griffin after Griffin wrote an article mocking Osbourne’s model boyfriend Luke Worrall. In a piece last August in the U.K. newspaper The Mirror, Griffin wrote that she was approached in Punk nightclub by Osbourne, who took issue with a story Griffin had written saying Worrall had to ask how an earthquake was caused.
Griffin quoted her saying, “I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he’s upset.”
As the conversation drew to a close, Griffin wrote, “That’s when I felt a hard slap to my right cheekbone.”
As is customary, Scotland Yard would not name any of the alleged protagonists. But a statement read by a spokeswoman said, “I can confirm that a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police station by appointment at 3pm on January 2.”
“She was arrested for common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of 29th August 2008,” the statement continues. “She was bailed to attend a central London police station on a date in March.”
A rep for Osbourne had no comment.

Shia LaBeouf loses driver’s license
Shia LaBeouf has been transformed into a passenger. Get it?
The Eagle Eye star (who also had a part in Transformers — there’s the joke) had his driver’s license suspended Saturday, a result of his refusal to take a Breathalyzer test when he was busted on suspicion of driving under the influence following a July car crash.
“It was suspended for refusing a chemical test,” a DMV official said, noting that, even though LaBeouf was cleared of any DUI charges after it was determined that the other driver caused his smashup, the suspension was “automatic.” California law states that a person’s license can be suspended for up to one year if he/she refuses to take a blood, breath or urine test for a suspected DUI.
The actor suffered a crushed hand that has since required two surgeries in the July 27 rollover crash, caused when another driver ran a red light and smashed into LaBeouf’s Ford pickup truck as LeBeouf was looking to make a left turn.

Kelly Rutherford: The police were called twice
Kelly Rutherford says she twice called the police on estranged husband Daniel Giersch recently, adding the German entrepreneur frightened her and yelled at her within inches of her face, court documents reveal.
The couple have been mired in an increasingly nasty divorce and are battling over the welfare of their son, Hermes, 2. Rutherford, 40, is four months pregnant with their second child, a daughter.
The first time Rutherford called police occurred when the couple were staying at the Wales Hotel in New York “because [he] kept yelling at me in front of Hermes, and threatening that he was going to take Hermes,” she said in the Jan. 16 court filing. “[He] kept saying that I was ‘going to learn,’ and that he was ‘going to teach [me] a lesson.’”
She adds that Giersch is “an avid boxer and a kickboxer, and I am intimidated by him.”
About one or two months later in Los Angeles, Giersch “had cornered me and come within inches of my face. He would not back away,” Rutherford claims in the court papers. “I was crying and [he] was yelling at me. I remember [him] again saying that I was ‘going to learn’ and he was again threatening to take Hermes away.’”
Both times the police asked Giersch, 34, to leave, and apparently no arrests were made, according to documents.
Lawyers for both sides were not immediately available for comment. They are due Wednesday in a Santa Monica, Calif., court.
Rutherford is seeking to ban Giersch from traveling outside the U.S. with Hermes as well as seeking permission to take the child with her to New York until March, when the current season of Gossip Girl completes filming.
Giersch, meanwhile, has asserted that her stressful working conditions have been detrimental to their child, that she is the one with anger issues, and that he has been Hermes’s primary caretaker all along - all of which she disputes.

Beyonce reveals her inauguration pick
Beyonce Knowles has revealed the song she’ll sing for Barack and Michelle Obama’s first dance on inauguration night Tuesday. “I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the First Lady,” she said in a statement. “To sing ‘At Last’ while they have their first dance is a dream come true,” she says. “I could not be more honored and excited that they have asked me to be part of this moment in history.”
Knowles had been vocal about wanting to be a part of Obama’s inauguration. “I’m there. I can’t wait,” she said in November. “I feel like all of us, we’re ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready.”

Sarah Jessica Parker gearing up for divorce

Reports are pouring in, most notably from Star magazine, which says that Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker is ready to move out of the family home and leave Matthew Broderick behind.
Back in August, Star alleged Broderick had some sex in the city of his own with a younger woman. While the “Sex and the City” star, 43, was frantically searching for Broderick, 46, one night last year, he was with a “stunning redhead,” a friend of the other woman told the Star.
On a separate night, Broderick and the woman arrived at her friend’s apartment after drinking heavily, a source told Star. She dragged Broderick into the friend’s bedroom, then shut the door, the magazine says.
The couple issued no comment on the stories, and quickly put on a united front, posing for photographs together.
Star is now claiming the couple attempted to save their 11-year marriage for the sake of their young son James Wilkie, but are ready to call it quits. A family insider tells Star magazine, “Sarah Jessica is determined to get her own place and bring down the curtains on her marriage. They’re essentially living separate lives.
“The truth is, Sarah and Matthew still do love and care about each other, they just aren’t in love, and they don’t want to waste any more time trying to repair something that’s irreparable.”

Fergie reveals her wedding humps

The new issue of Us Weekly has eight pages of official photos from Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s estimated $1 million rock ‘n’ roll wedding. The bride, wearing two one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana dresses (two? hmmmmm….) and Jimmy Choo shoes for the big day — told Us (not ‘us’ but “Us”) that her Jan. 10 wedding was “magical, ethereal.”
The ceremony was held on the lush grounds of the 8,000-square-foot Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu, California, and “incorporated both our personalities,” Duhamel said. “Lots of nature was important to Josh,” celeb planner Mindy Weiss tells Us. “I knew I could bling it up for Fergie.”
What did the groom think when he saw his bride walk down the aisle? “Keep it together, you big baby!” he jokes to Us. Note to Josh: Never call any woman a “BIG” anything, especially on her wedding day. Guess you got away with it this time, but still …

Kevin Bacon: Six degrees closer to broke
Kevin Bacon needs a job.
Last month New York Magazine revealed Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick were two of Bernie Madoff’s victims, and may have lost everything they had but their real estate and checking accounts.
Bacon spoke to Life & Style Magazine about it at a Television Critics Association event: “We’ll march on. We have to. There’s nothing you can do about it. You can’t change what happened. Things could be worse. You remember that, and you go on with your life.
But Kevin was shocked by the news of Madoff’s scam. “I didn¹t see it coming,” he said.
Asked by Life & Style what he’s currently working on, Kevin replied: “I don’t have anything lined up right now, but I need to work, for obvious reasons.”
Bacon is currently appearing in “Frost/Nixon” while his wife stars on TNT’s “The Closer.”

“AI” judge defends attack on “bikini girl”
New American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi doesn’t regret getting into it with 20-year-old contestant Katrina Darrell — aka “Bikini Girl” — on Tuesday’s premiere.
“I love pretty girls,” she said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday. “The thing with bikini girl — to be honest, I thought she had a better body than she had a better face.”
Darrell and DioGuardi got into a heated spat after Darrell sang Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love.” Judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson sent her through, but DioGuardi said she didn’t think Darrell had “swing.” So DioGuardi re-sang the song for Darrell, telling her how she should have done it. Darrell then snapped, “your demonstration wasn’t any better.”
DioGuardi did sing Darrell one praise. “To her credit, she’s gotten so much attention. It was probably a good call to wear the bikini at the end of the day,” DioGuardi told Seacrest. “But we wouldn’t be talking about the bikini if she killed the song.”
Asked by Seacrest if she’d send through a “pretty” girl before a “cute” girl, DioGuardi said, “It’s hard to say. But pretty and cute … they’re important. It’s a visual medium. You’re going to see people on the covers and in the press. Of course, I want a pretty girl, but I’m not just looking for a pretty girl; I’m looking for an incredible voice, great stage presence. I’m a big champion of women. I’m not the kind of woman who’s going to drag a woman down.”

Garner, Affleck name Baby #2 “Seraphina”
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have revealed their second daughter’s name: Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, who was born Jan. 6 in Los Angeles. Garner and Affleck — also parents to daughter Violet, 3 — did not reveal the meaning behind the baby’s name. But that’s not going to stop people from doing it for them.
“Seraphina is an elaborately feminine kind of name that’s really come into style over the past few years, like (Affleck’s friend Matt Damon’s daughter) Isabella,” Baby Name Bible author Pamela Redmond Satran, who also runs Web site Nameberry, told Us. “Seraphim is one of the highest orders of angels. It kind of follows from Angelina, which has gotten super popular because of Angelina Jolie, as a a spiritual, heavenly name.
“The ‘ph’ spelling of Seraphina is more Hebrew in origin. It means ‘ardent,’ which is passionate,” she says. “Ben and Jen really put Violet on the map. They transformed it from what people saw as a dowdy, old lady name to a really cute, modern choice.”

Lil Kim unhappy with “Notorious” portrayal
Lil Kim was a big part of the Notorious B.I.G.’s life, but she’s not happy about the way she’s portrayed in the new biopic about the late rapper. Biggie was Lil Kim’s mentor — they were also romantically linked in a sometimes rocky relationship, as portrayed in the new movie, “Notorious B.I.G.”
In a statement, she said: “The film studio and producers involved were more concerned about painting me as a “character”; to create a more interesting story line instead of a person with talent, self-respect and who was able to achieve her own career success through hard work.”
She added: “Even though my relationship with Big was at times very difficult and complicated (as with most relationships we have all experienced at one time or another), it was also genuine and built on great admiration and love for each other. Regardless of the many lies in the movie and false portrayal of me to help carry a story line through, I will still continue to carry his legacy through my hard work and music.”
But Big’s mother, Voletta Wallace, dismissed Lil Kim’s criticisms. “This is not a Lil Kim movie. This is a Christopher Wallace (Big’s real name) movie. It has nothing to do with Lil Kim. If she’s disappointed and upset, that is her problem.”
At the film’s New York premiere last week, “Notorious” screenwriter Cheo Hodari Coker said he understands why Lil Kim might not like the film, but added: “I think that Naturi (Naughton) did a great job playing Kim. I think people are going to be a lot more sympathetic towards (Lil Kim) after seeing the movie.”
Wayne Barrow, Biggie’s former manager and a producer on the movie, expressed less patience with Kim’s attitude. “Our job as producers … was to deliver for three individuals. That’s his mom and his two children. Everybody else: Stand in line, buy a ticket and enjoy the show.”
“Notorious” chronicles the life and untimely death of the Notorious B.I.G., who was shot to death in 1997 and remains one of rap’s most important figures. It opens in theaters this Friday.

Tom Brady pops the question; she says yes

Forget the Super Bowl party, it’s time to plan a wedding. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are making some major post-season plans after getting engaged in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The New England Patriots quarterback, 31, proposed with a diamond solitaire to the Brazilian supermodel, 28, on Friday.
“He asked and she accepted,” a source close to the couple told People magazine. Family and friends were informed over the weekend. An official announcement, as well as preliminary wedding details, are being planned by Bundchen and her closest friends this week.
“The couple is discussing a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home,” the source adds.
While engagement rumors flew — and were denied — before Christmas, the January engagement will mark the first marriage for both. Bundchen’s agent said, “We don’t comment on our clients’ private lives.”
Though Bundchen had ended her longtime relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio in 2005, Brady was romantically involved when the couple met. Shortly after, he broke off his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. In August 2007, Moynahan gave birth to Brady’s son, John Edward Thomas.

Seacrest doesn’t register in Brangelina’s world

On his KIIS-FM radio show Monday, Ryan Seacrest spoke out about Angelina Jolie dissing him on the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards.
Seacrest had gotten up next to the actress and beau Brad Pitt, hoping to score an interview on E!’s pre-show. “Hi, guys. Brad? Angelina?” he said, but they ignored his advance and brushed by him.
Seacrest’s take on the incident? “I don’t think Angelina thinks I’m that important,” he said. “I don’t think I’m top of mind for Brad and Angelina. I honestly don’t believe they’d know who I was if I walked over there.”
When guest Perez Hilton told Seacrest that that’s impossible, as he hosts the No. 1 show American Idol, the TV personality shot back: “Yeah…but they live in France!”
Jolie and Pitt did stop for NBC’s Billy Bush, but Seacrest said, “there’s an NBC deal there. NBC hosted the Globes, and they have a deal to talk to the people who come to the Globes.
“Here’s what I realized when I went down there,” Seacrest went on. “I realized quickly that it’s against the rules to walk down onto the carpet from the platform.
“Then we went back down there and caught up with Tom Cruise, who I think is a terrific guy. I think he’s really cool,” he said. “By the way, have you seen his skin tone up close lately? You should!”

Patrick Swayze hospitalized with pneumonia
Patrick Swayze has pneumonia and has checked himself into a hospital for observation, it was revealed Friday at a press event for the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles.
“As we arrived here this morning we have some news,” said A&E president Abbe Raven. “Patrick Swayze has checked himself into the hospital. However, he asked us specifically to go forward with today’s panel. We wish him the very best with his recovery.”
Bob DeBitetto, the president and general manager of A&E , said that Swayze had decided to check himself into the hospital after he came down with pneumonia. Swayze, who is battling pancreatic cancer, had been scheduled to discuss his new show, The Beast.
On an interview that aired Wednesday, the actor told Barbara Walters that his road has been difficult. “You can bet that I’m going through hell,” he said. “And I’ve only seen the beginning of it.”
Swayze, 56, who went public with his diagnosis last March, said the disease has taken an emotional toll. “There’s a lot of fear here,” he said. “Yeah, I’m scared. Yeah, I’m angry. Yeah, I’m [asking], why me.”
Despite his difficult year battling cancer, Swayze is still looking ahead. “I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life,” he said, “not lived in the shadow of cancer, but in the light.”

‘Loser’ contestant arrested for tossing flour
The question to ask is whether she was making cookies, or whether she belongs on Top Chef …
A contestant on The Biggest Loser has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a housemate with a bag of flour. The same day the NBC reality show debuted, Shanon Thomas, 30, was charged with domestic violence Tuesday, according to the Detroit Free Press. If convicted, she could face more than three months in jail.
According to police, on Dec. 16, Thomas assaulted a man who lived in the basement of her suburban Detroit home after he had the TV volume too high. She’s said to have “kicked open the door” to his basement apartment and threw flour in his face, damaging some of his personal property in the process. He has since moved out.
Thomas, who is a massage therapist, was arraigned and released on $2,000 bond after being taken into custody. On Loser, she makes up one half of the Pink Team. Her teammate, Helen Phillips, is her mother. Here’s their video profile from NBC.com.

Fergie, Josh Duhamel begin “Wedding Week”

Three days before the wedding, Fergie took a break from her intense bride-to-be workouts for a co-ed bachelor-bachelorette party with fiancé Josh Duhamel. The couple, who will wed in the L.A. area on Saturday, and 75 of their friends and family celebrated on Wednesday night at the newly opened Dakota Lounge in Santa Monica.
The singer, a.k.a. Stacy Ferguson, 33, and Duhamel, 36, were greeted with cheers from their guests — including Fergie’s Black Eyed Peas bandmate, will.i.am — when they arrived.
“Josh and Fergie usually spend so much time away from each other, so they wanted to make this week special and spend as much time together as possible,” says a source. “So they decided to have a joint bachelor and bachelorette party and have their friends mingle and get to know each other before the big day.”

‘Lost’ star wins custody of son from mom

Naveen Andrews left family court in L.A. with his son, leaving the baby mama bawling on the courthouse steps. (That’s them, above - Andrews with his main squeeze, Barbara Hershey, in a shot from TMZ.com.)
The “Lost” star and Elena Eustache, the mother of 3-year-old Naveen Joshua, were in L.A. County Superior Court, where a judge changed the custody order after Elena allegedly took the boy out of L.A. County without permission. Naveen also claimed Elena kept the boy from him. The parents had joint custody, but the order was modified so Naveen now has sole physical and legal custody pending a full hearing next month.
We’re told Elena has alleged Naveen’s girlfriend, Barbara Hershey, practices witchcraft and that Naveen and Hershey have poisoned the boy. In response, his lawyer asked the judge to order Elena to undergo psychiatric testing.
Elena brought the boy to court. After the ruling, the bailiff took the boy from Elena and gave him to Naveen, who left the courthouse with Hershey.
Under the new order, the boy is allowed to travel to Hawaii where Naveen films “Lost.” He can be accompanied either by Naveen or Hershey. After the hearing Elena told TMZ, “I can’t believe celebrities and their money. They always get what they want.”

Brad defends Angie, still likes Jen

Brangelina seems to have made W their (its?) home for launching pictorial and/or verbal salvos into the celebrity press. Here again, in February’s issue, Brad Pitt defends Angelina Jolie, insisting she didn’t bust up his marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
Aniston had previously told Vogue that she thought it was “uncool” of Jolie to tell The New York Times that she fell in love with Pitt while filming 2005’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith — when Aniston was still wed the actor. But Pitt says, “What people don’t understand is that we filmed for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. (The film) will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.”
(Of those controversial shots he took of Jolie apparently breastfeeding — and which were published where? in W! — last year, he said, “We have fun working together; these things bring you closer. It’s really sexy to see your loved one through the lens. He said he also “went much further” photographing her, but “I didn’t show those [pictures].”)
Meanwhile, Pitt says he is still on friendly terms with Aniston.
“Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart,” Pitt says. “I think she got dragged into that one (saying Jolie was “uncool”), and then there’s a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”
“We still check in with each other,” he continues. “She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”

Brolin’s Shreveport arrest video hits the fan
And it’s a shocker — watch it here, on TMZ.com, which released the video of Josh Brolin’s arrest outside of a Shreveport bar last summer, along with his “W” costar Jeffrey Wright.
In the video, Brolin and Wright stand hugging each other as they are sprayed with pepper spray and then separated by cops. Brolin is made to kneel and is handcuffed while Wright gets laid out on the street and repeatedly tasered, as the cellphone camerawoman protests.
Other video from patrol cars was also recorded by cop cars last July but not released.
Coinciding with the video’s release, charges in Louisiana against Brolin stemming from the brawl are being dropped. Brolin, Wright and five crew members of the Oliver Stone film “W.” were arrested on misdemeanor charges at the Stray Cat Club on July 12. Brolin and Wright were charged with interfering with police officers after a disturbance involving a crew member broke out.

Lohan, Ronson start 2009 with a BIG FIGHT

Happy New Year? Not so much — at least for Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, who were the subjects of a New York Post Page Six report about trashing a hotel room, engaging in a little hand-to-hand combat and shouting at each other in a dirty alley.
According to the story, the new year got started with an argument while the very public pair was partying with family at Set in Miami. Round two “went nuclear” with another screaming match at Mansion, which spilled out into an alley behind the club, where a hobo witnessed Lindsay explaining/shouting at Samantha how this whole pitching-a-fit thing works: “When I storm off, you are supposed to follow me!”
Further discussions erupted later at their hotel room where several sources heard crashing and screaming. The fight reportedly spilled into the hallway at about 11 a.m., where a spy said, “They were punching each other — it was bad. And they were doing this in front of all of us. It was scary.”
Page Six reports that at one point, Lohan dropped to her knees and cried, “Why are you doing this to me?” And Sam just said, “I don’t know you.”
Reportedly still feisty hours later, Lohan and Ronson boarded a flight back to L.A. together, but “Lohan was said to be such a mess before takeoff that flight attendants asked her if she’d like to disembark. She refused.”
Lohan’s rep reportedly told the paper, “There was an argument — I don’t know the details — but they left for L.A. together and it’s fine.”
Fine. It’s all relative.

Katy Perry, Travis McCoy break up!!
Singers Katy Perry and Travis McCoy have ended their relationship. So sad. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer, 24, and the Gym Class Heroes frontman, 27, vacationed together in Mexico over the holidays, but they split shortly before the New Year, says a source.
“It’s a hardship, but she’s regrouping,” a source told Celebuzz, which first reported the split. McCoy took to his FriendsOrEnemies.com blog on Dec. 31, where he posted lyrics to hip-hop group Main Source’s breakup song “Looking at the Front Door.”
The song includes the lines: “We fight every night, now that’s not kosher/I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer/And wake up to be greeted by an argument again/You act like you’re ten.”
After more than a year of friendship and casual dating, the musicians got serious right before both hit the road for last summer’s Vans Warped tour. McCoy bought Perry a “promise ring,” while he wore a silver band with the word “Katy” on it.

Gossip Girl’s preggo star files for divorce

Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford filed for divorce Friday from her husband of two years, Daniel Giersch. Rutherford, who plays Blake Lively’s mom Lily van der Woodsen on the CW series, is about three months pregnant with her second child. The couple welcomed son Hermes Gustaf Daniel Giersch two years ago.
The actress cites irreconcilable differences on the paperwork, which was submitted to a judge at Los Angeles Superior Court. Rutherford, 40, split from Carlos Tarajano in 2001 after just five months of marriage.
