Here’s info about the film George Clooney is preparing
My colleagues have been excitedly following George Clooney as he trekked through Oxford today, being sighted at at the business school at Miami University. Check our story here.
Meanwhile, as the resident film buff, I feel it’s my duty to fill you all in on the film Clooney is preparing. It’s called The Ides of March and is a political drama about a staffer for a rookie presidential candidate who learns about dirty politics. Clooney writes, directs and co-stars. It’s based on a play by Beau Willimon.
The cast also features Ryan Gosling (The Notebook, Blue Valentine), Paul Giamatti (Sideways, Cinderella Man), Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Wrestler), Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler, Across the Universe), and Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote, Mission; Impossible 3). It’s due for release in 2012.
This will be Clooney’s fourth feature film as a director following Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (B+), Good Night and Good Luck (A-), and Leatherheads (B-).
