So was the return Glee-ful?

glee2.jpg

So Glee had its second season premiere last night. To mark the occasion, we put together a story about how local high school singing groups look at Glee, and I put up this post on my own blog detailing my discovery of the show earlier this year. (I was a little late to the class.)

So … fun questions to ponder:

What’s been your favorite episode of Glee so far?

I quite liked “Mattress” (where they sing “jump” while doing the same for a mattress ad. I also appreciated “Dream On,” which featured Artie’s “Safety Dance” number, which hit home for me since I’m disabled myself.

Favorite characters?

Among the girls, I have a thing for Lea Michele, so I have to say Rachel. Among the guys, I think Kurt (Chris Colfer) is the most fascinating character, and the second-best singer of the bunch. And among the older cast, I have to say Mr. Schue, as he’s called - partly because a Facebook quiz told me I was the most like him and partly because I’m actually an older dude too. Yes, I know a lot of people would say Sue. She’s great and so is Jane Lynch - but I always prefer to go for the less obvious answer.

And just to keep things local - If you are in an area glee club or show choir, what has been your shining moment? What was your “Don’t Rain on My Parade”? And if you’re not in a choir, what has been the best number you’ve seen performed?

Here are my thoughts on the first show of the new season - what are yours?
