So where DO you go to party?

I recently wrote a couple of articles that had to do with the lack of places to go in Middletown/Hamilton.

One of these was a story about how musicians having to go out of town to get gigs. The other was a story about a new club opening in Middletown.

So that makes me want to ask you - if you believe that “there’s nothing to do around here,” as so many people seem to believe - where DO you go to party? What out of town bars/clubs/other establishments do you frequent?

We go to Club Sinday. One of the nicest establishments in southwest Ohio. And it is packed every Saturday night.

the best place to go and do anything as far as getting out and dancing is Metropolis night club in the Cincinnati mills mall. food and dinning and movies go to west chester to union center the have everything. Middletown is dead and trashy nothing will ever be nice around there it would take to much money which they don’t have!!!!!!!!

THe Mayfield Inn is a great little bar. The bar is like a cheers and the crowd is friendly and the prices are great and the place is clean, again it is great place to enjoy your evening or day. It is located on the corner of plymouth and carolina street in Myafield. I think it is the best kept secret around

We go to Club Sinday too (the old u-turn/zodiacs/coconuts). The owners have turned that into a GREAT private club and it is awesome. Its a classy place, unlike what it used to be. But, you have to know someone that is already a member. They won’t let just anyone in. That certainly keeps the trashy rif raf out.

A bunch of my friends and i go to a friends garage, and just sit around with a little oldies music in the background. No fights, brawls or loose women there! And no d.u.i/o.v.i`s for us.

“the mayor’s house, the city manager’s house or Kohler’s Party Animal Retreat on South Main St.”? You must be kidding. Those places are too expensive! Their cover charges are exhorbitant, they make you BYOB, plus you must bring food and drinks (top shelf only) for them, and they keep the leftovers. They’re not much fun either. All of those know-nothings sitting around with their noses in the air talking about how important they are, gets boring really quickly. (Most of them are ugly, too.) And it’s really quite stressful having to be wary of getting your pocket picked the entire time. It was much safer to go to the Rebel Inn, back in the old days. You were much less likely to get a knife stuck in your back.

Hey, Kohler’s Party Animal Retreat is for real. The owner, is a very talkative person with a dynamic personality. Has a reputation of treating the customer right also. It is true that the mayor’s house is a little boring and the entertainment is on the dry side, but it is “subdued fun” where no one gets “loud and rowdy”. Not too much emotion is allowed. The city manager’s house is the type of entertainment that is unpredictable. The city manager always has a “hidden agenda” when it comes to entertainment. Somewhat hard to follow and secretive sometimes.
