A fourth seeks Coley’s House seat
WEST CHESTER TWP. — In light of Rep. Bill Coley’s impending appointment to the 4th District Senate seat, Bruce Jones, of West Chester Twp., also wants to fill the Liberty Twp. state representative’s seat.
Jones, 56, said he’s “building support to replace Bill Coley as state representative for the 55th District seat.”
“I’m realizing support from people who recognize a conservative, former state government employee is most qualified to reform our state government,” Jones said in a statement to Cox newspapers. “No one else has such credentials. No one else has such a head start for achieving government reform.”
Coley is anticipated to succeed exiting Sen. Gary Cates, R-West Chester Twp., who’s leaving for the Board of Regents on Monday. Coley was recommended by the screening committee of the Ohio Senate Republican Caucus. The full committee historically follows the screening committee’s recommendation.
Jones said he’s active in West Chester Twp., a lifelong Butler County resident, and a former member of the Butler County Republican Central Committee and board member of the Butler County Educational Service Center. He worked 18 years at the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.
Those who’ve already expressed interest in pursuing the seat include: Candice Keller, 52, executive director of the Community Pregnancy Center; Margy Conditt, a Liberty Twp. trustee from 1997 to 2001, and Liberty Twp. Trustee Christine Matacic.

If his experience on the inside of state government will shrink state government, taxes, and bring jobs, I’m votin for him! Gotta be better than more of the same.

Who will Boehner make support calls for like he did for Coley this week?
