DeWine campaign responds to local GOP’s lack of support

Following the Butler County Republican Party’s vote last night endorsing Delaware County Prosecutor Dave Yost for Ohio Attorney General, former U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine issued this statement:

“We are confident that Republican voters in Ohio will nominate Mike DeWine to be their Attorney General candidate. In poll after poll, Mike DeWine is the only candidate who can beat Richard Cordray. DeWine is known across the state by an overwhelming 93% of voters. As a former county prosecutor, he has the vision and experience to clean up corruption, fix the state crime lab, and make sure our state does everything possible to promote economic growth and job creation.”

DeWines may be known by 93% on Ohioans, but its what they know about him is why he was thrown out of office in 2006. We don’t need another washed up, retired, party flopping career politician, so find something to do on the farm Mike.

This guy deserved to loose when he bases all his facts on polls? We all know whoever ask for the poll gets the results they like.Dewine claims he wants to promote economic growth and job creation, doens’t he know that’s NOT the Attorney Generals job? He had his chance as senator for 20+ years to create jobs which never happened.

It’s sad to see that Mike just doesn’t understand. He had 100% name ID last name but only received 28% of the vote. You do the math.

I didn’t like Dewine, that is why I voted for Brown and that has turned out to be a big mistake. Dewine wasn’t worried about Ohio jobs while they were all leaving.

DeWine voted against drilling in ANWAR. The proposal lost by a single vote. His vote cost our country it’s only shot at energy production and less dependence on the OPEC mullahs. I shall NEVER vote for him again.

Napoleon, why drill in ANWAR (our last frontier) when we have some of the largest reserves in the world right in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico? Harvesting these reserves would have far less negative environmental impact. Why not work to curb our consumption as a way to reduce our dependence? New technologies create jobs. Polluting ANWAR does nothing positive for Americans, present or future.
