County commission race - The speeches
Below is the full text of the speeches given last night by Butler County Commissioner Gregory Jolivette and former West Chester Twp. trustee Jose Alvarez, as prepared for delivery. They were seeking the county GOP’s endorsement for commission next year, which no candidate secured.
Both have said they plan to run in the Republican primary in May.

Alvarez has no clue as to resolving the county budget crisis. He wants to blame past spending on the budget shortage. It’s the economy, stupid! Revenues are down. Where is your plan to increase revenues. West Chester Fire and Police are levy based so that was a no brainer. Alvarez is intelligent but weak on real county problems. Butler county is not GE.

Alverez dosen’t need a clue, he’ll just do what ever Rick Jones and Dpn Dixon tells him.
