The commissioners have authority to cut only a handful of salaries out of the over 2000 county employees. This is only a drop in the bucket but excellent PR for the commissioners. Now what are the commissioenrs going to do with the office you are thumbing their nose at the commissioners? No one else has cut salaries or furloughed employees.
