I find it very interesting they have stopped putting the cost of travel on the agenda. I would assume Chairman Don Dixon made the decision not to let the taxpayers know how much is being wasted on these paid vacations. The Journal News should fill in the blank here and publish what they are spending on travel.

Matt, remember what happen in Vegas, stays in Vegas, place a bet or two and try and win the counties money back for this trip. Katie, tell the folks at the Opry we all said Hi. These two trips sure sound like vacations to me, did the commissioners even question the importance of these junkets.

It would be interesting to see which departments and which employees in the county do the most traveling on the county dime. I know one employee who is always cashing in on a trip to some place.

How can Butler County be asking for $1.9 BILLION in NSP2 HUD funds when the whole consortium is only asking for about $25 Million?
