Driehaus, Mrs. Strickland featured in local Democratic events

Change Butler, a progressive grassroots political action committee has two upcoming events in Butler County - a celebration of President Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office and a roundtable event with the First Lady of Ohio, Frances Strickland.
The celebration of President Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office will begin at 6 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at The Riverbank Cafe on 102 North Main Street in Hamilton, Ohio. The celebration will feature a sit-down dinner, guest speakers, and live music. Guest Speakers will include U.S. Representative Steve Driehaus and Derrick Clay, Vice President, New Visions Group.
Mr. Driehaus represents the 1st Congressional District in Ohio. The 1st Congressional District includes southwest Butler County and the west side of Hamilton County. Representative Driehaus is a first term congressman and member of the Government Reform, and House Financial Services and Oversight Committees.
Mr Clay is a Vice-President of New Visions Group, a Columbus based lobbying and Government Relations firm. He was previously recognized by Ebony Magazine as one of the nation’s 30 young leaders of the future, and by Business First Magazine as one of its 40 under 40 business leaders.

Change Butler is also co-sponsoring a roundtable event with Ohio’s First Lady, Frances Strickland. The roundtable event will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 from 5:45 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 75 Hall on 913 Lebanon Street in Monroe, Ohio.
